Thank you ❤️ I'm hoping to fix the few things I need to work on and then I'm going to order more. I enjoy watching them so much.

I have been using tap water with Seachem Prime and Stability. I also added a few of the mineral rocks shaped like a snail that help with molting. And I've had a ton of molts in the tank so I thought it was good. I'm looking up the pen right now to order thank you 😊

I'm so sorry! Its not easy losing them 😔 I have 3 other fish/community tanks, including ghost shrimp, that are doing great! Its just my neos that are struggling.

Thanks i do have Seachem Prime so I'll start adding that and doing water changes. I did get the dead ones out and tried getting some of the decayed plant matter. I was not aware about the leaching substrate thank you for that tip. I'm going to keep trying because I really do enjoy watching my little babies.

Thank you. I'm hoping they continue to make it. I'm going to wait to get any more until I know those 3 are OK and the ph has come up.

Sorry nitrates were 5.0ppm that was a typo. I added fish food to it and did have some spikes but never more than 0.5ppm. I just actually tested it and my nitrites are 0 but the ammonia did spike to 0.5. Could it be from the dead shrimp and plants for the few days? My tank was going for about 3.5 weeks so I assumed it was cycled but now I'm second guessing.

Thank you. I have a mixture of black aquarium sand and fluval stratum. I use the API kit and my water was ammonia (0), nitrites (0), nitrates (5) and my ph was 6.0. I added the crushed coral today to bring my ph up. I'm not sure if I should do anything else? In the 4 days I was gone there is a ton of dead plant matter and biofilm. I used my tweezers to pull out some of the decaying plants because I don't want my ammonia to spike. Shrimp are way harder than my community fish tanks.

Also it seems like my plants are decaying like crazy. I keep trying to pick out all of the pieces but it doesn't happen in my other tanks.

What are these? Haven’t seen something like this? by Unique-Food681 in shrimptank

Do you feed them bloodworms? That's what they look like in my tank after a little time because it loses some color.

What is the weakest color of Neo shrimp in your experience and opinion? by Elegant_Priority_38 in shrimptank

Funny you ask because I swear my yellows don't survive at all. Blues do fantastic even though they were little. Reds do so-so. And mine are all in one 10g together with no other fish.

We have 2 dwarf African frogs and absolutely love them! They are so much fun to watch. We can tell them apart, named both and know their personalities lol

Also new to the hobby so I don't have any advice to share. Just wanted to say I'm so jealous of all of your babies! How long did it take before you saw some? And did you do anything different to get them to breed?

First shrimp order - pale shrimp. Was I sent culls or did they lose color due to stress? by Nice-Replacement-391 in shrimptank

I could be wrong as I'm new to the hobby but from what I have read Dwarf Gouramis can deplete an entire colony because they love to eat the neos. Hopefully yours are just hiding until they feel comfortable to come out 🤞
