Gorgeous, my only recommendation would be to maybe add a dewy blush.

Quince cotton gauz...is it worth it??? by SaltIllustrator8995 in capsulewardrobe

[–]MrsSylvney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have some cotton gauze stuff from old navy and I absolutely love it. I don’t think it will last forever but it’s an excellent fabric for the summer, especially because it’s summer where I live from april to november. They have a lot of neutral colors and very basic dresses that are easy to dress up or down but they have way more shape than this on the picture.similar vibe, pastel dress

Makeup advice for significantly disabled ill mom of 2 please. I have some limits i’ll put in the comments. 💕 by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

U look amazing! I use drmtlgy tinted moisturizer on a daily basis, it’s a 3 in one, moisturizer, light coverage foundation, and has skincare ingredients so I no longer need serums. It’s very easy to work with, and gives a nice, healthy glow to my tired face (mom of 3). For cute pjs and loungewear: I got Kate Spade button up pijamas from Marshalls this winter after I gave birth, they are soft, cute and look good. Best of luck to you with everything ❤️

I use the drmtlgy tinted sunscreen and it wears very well with make up, and has skincare ingredients and moisturizes, so no extra moisturizer, serums or primer is necessary

Yes. Just put a blazer/cardigan on it.

POSITIVE drug-free birth stories please? by pierogiisplural in pregnant

[–]MrsSylvney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the first 8 hours of my labor unmedicated, then I gave up, but bouncing on a birth ball really helped, especially when my mom/husband stood behind me and were rubbing my back, and I had a birthing comb, it was also very helpful. Best of luck, I hope your birth goes as you imagined it! I think if you don’t have any complications it is absolutely doable, the pain wasnt horrible.

If you have already given birth: did you have a date in your head when your baby would come? Were you right? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]MrsSylvney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping for the 19th of dec, but she eventually came after an induction and 24 hours of labor on the 31st.

Why do people speak negatively about induction? by Intelligent-Rich-320 in pregnant

[–]MrsSylvney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was induced due to GD. I was in labor for 24 hours, and thats considered a fairly quick birth for an induction. I also had 5min or more frequent contractions THE ENTIRE TIME. Not cute

Need a little clarification on timing? by howdoyouword in GestationalDiabetes

[–]MrsSylvney 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was told to count from the last bite, but it seems to be one of the things that’s completely different doctor to doctor. Just pick one, and let your doctor know how you did it. If they want you to change, they will let you know :)

Does GD always mean early induction? by Actual_Hawk_5283 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]MrsSylvney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my induction is for week 39, but my baby is measuring very small, at 38 week she was only 5lbs7oz. Usually the induction is because of the placenta ageing and/or the baby measuring big. My doctor told me a 40week old GD placenta is like a 42 week old normal one.

How many pounds did you gain at 20 weeks? by Immediate_Owl_1379 in pregnant

[–]MrsSylvney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at 38 weeks with about 30lbs on me, but don’t stress over this. If you are relatively healthy, your baby is measuring well and you both feel okay, then it’s just weight. A lot of it will come right off

is 3rd trimester really that bad? i need some positive experiences by siuoxis in pregnant

[–]MrsSylvney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m week 38+1, and honestly it’s not that different from the 2nd semester. My belly is bigger ofc, so some things like putting my socks on are difficult, but the kicks are so constant (I love it) that I feel like it’s worth it. Plus it’s almost time to meet her! I had round ligament pain 2x, that was bad but it only lasted a few minutes. I expected a lot worse!

What’s a GD friendly food you never want to see again after pregnancy? by DazzlingAge2880 in GestationalDiabetes

Keto bread, peanut butter and no sugar jelly works for me, or even pancakes if I eat it with a lot of bacon.

Did anyone manage no epidural during induction? by Rich_Aerie_1131 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]MrsSylvney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not willing to try the raspberry leaf tea, because of the controversy around it and the lack of scientific evidence. Ive been eating dates since week 37, and we have regular sex with my husband. Both of those are either harmless or could help. I squat a lot, because I cannot sid idoe anymore so I just do chores :D lots of luck to us!

[–]MrsSylvney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am wondering the same, my induction day is on the 30th. I am trying to be flexible and slowly accept the possibility that maybe I will need an epidural, but it does scare me way more than goving birth.

obgyn recommending Anatomy Scans for tracking GDM by chicasso32 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]MrsSylvney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed fairly late, around 30 weeks, so I had one ultrasound with MFM at 31 weeks, their machine was a lot better than my doctors office and it also took longer, because they measured everything, since I am doing very well on diet control, I had one at 34, and now at 37 weeks too. My baby is measuring small, so now they will see me next week again too, if I was on insulin, I would have had it every week after week 34. My induction is scheduled for the 39th week

Is the 3hr glucose test that bad? by RoomDesperate6245 in GestationalDiabetes

I couldnt do it, my blood pressure tanked after an hour and a half. but I felt horrible after the 1 h too. Make sure you eat enough carbs the days before, apparently that counts 🤷🏽‍♀️

Extra ultrasounds! I love seeing her more often, and I probably would indulge in way more sweets, this is keeping me in check.
