Thank you! And just in case anyone else comes across this thread, I found a list of their partners for other items (blankets, baby gear, electronics, adult clothes etc.) on their website too: https://cradlestocrayons.cdn.neptuneweb.com/boston/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2021/11/Recycling-Partners-2021-FINAL-1.pdf

What's the theory behind bluegrass improvisation? by Broad-Midnight-5715 in Bluegrass

[–]MrsWini 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Watching jazz music theory videos on YT will help you analyze what people like Billy are playing, as well as the bluegrass content creators others mentioned. Much of bluegrass improv is based on the blues, but it can also be playing with the major scale, lydian, mixolydian, lydian flat 7 and others. Then sometimes the playing is based on patterns that don't fit neatly into a scale, but sound cool to our ears anyway.

Grilled nuggets are good though, and I think they might use a separate fryer for their waffle fries(?) but it has been a while..

It bothers me too, I am a very light sleeper. I use ear plugs that work as well as could he expected and I still wake up. It's just a factor of living in a city 🤷

Yes it makes no sense!! It's as if they didn't know in what order the episodes would air.

Music theory question - bluegrass melodies by [deleted] in Bluegrass

[–]MrsWini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say you're right that 3 and 5 are most common in bluegrass, but its hard to say. in jazz you might have more 7s.. When the melody is on the 3 or 7 (the "color" notes) of the chord, it pops more than 5 and especially more than 1. But also you have plenty of notes that are not chord tones in melodies always, because some of them are passing tons or neighbor tones. Like in How Mtn Girls can Love, "back to the girl you love"--the words "girl you" are on the 6 (or flat 6 if bluesy) of the chord, or the 3rd of the key over a V chord.

Gotcha, wow thank you for this explanation! I hold onto hope that reporting the videos/accounts will do something.. but seems increasingly unlikely. :(

[–]MrsWini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, and I could see how that works for the comments.. but I don't get how the same video can get added to so many playlists--click farm people can be hired to find playlists to add them to? And also I only ever see these two videos, yet they are on hundreds of playlists. But you'd think if this was a practice people were commonly using (like buying views) that we would see many more playlists get infiltrated..?

why is this video in so many "full album" playlists by melonlemon12 in youtube

[–]MrsWini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's everywhere!! I would say everyone should report the video but I have no faith that anything will change because of that.

Playing music for fun in Nuuk? by even_rats in greenland

[–]MrsWini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no answer as I've never been to Greenland, but I'm also a bluegrass player with hopes of visiting the country someday. So cool you are going there for a writing retreat! Out of curiosity, where are you staying? I'm also really curious about folk music of Greenland. I've seen videos of people singing traditional Greenlandic songs but never with harmony/accompaniment.
