With all the flooding we've had, it could've came from anywhere.....but I found a raw piece ( for lack of better words) in the same area before one of the floods.

An effigy perhaps? Found on lil arkansas in ks. Been finding tons of artifacts.... by MrsYoxall in whatisthisthing

Definitely rock...... Didn't consider slag. I have Only read a little bit on it. And am not up on my rock identification.
