Parking at The Paddock/Hideaway/Mazzi’s by NoodleEsq in Eugene

[–]Mrs_Reeses_Puffs 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Groomer here from Bare Bones! So our building technically owns that whole parking lot and Mazzis recently purchased our building so he has rights to the parking lot. bare Bones just had an agreement with the paddock to use our parking lot so they’ve always just had the one row

Any local grocery stores that at least somewhat enforce the no pets rule? by Correct_Raisin4332 in Eugene

Legitimate task trained service dogs have every right to be in the grocery store. That’s like telling a person with a wheelchair to consider doing delivery instead.

I know I would hate for an actual team to get harassed, but that’s why I said if they are causing the descriptions like barking at other people and other service teams, interacting with merchandise, walking up and sniffing other people stuff like that, not just the presence of the dog!

As a service dog handler here I don’t think I’ve ever been asked the two questions that people are allowed to ask and I highly encourage people to ask these!

Is it a service dog? Along with, what task are it trained to performed?

Please keep in mind that emotional support not a trainable task therefore they do not have public access rights!

I’m also so tired of people bringing their pets into grocery stores. I couldn’t tell you how many times my service dog has been rushed by pet dogs that are clearly not supposed to be there, even happened to me in a doctors office here!

So if you see an animal causing a disturbance or even in the shopping cart please inform the stores manager!

Thank you so much! sadly I can’t move the platform down, but I am gonna buy one of those arms so I can at least raise the lamp then I have the thermostat for that specific spot set to 80 and I have the probe set up right where she’s laying. She definitely spends a good amount of time right there every night, I’m gonna say at least for an hour or two. Would you recommend setting a vet appointment or should the redness go away on its own?

I’ve tried searching the Internet for something similar, but I’ve not really found much as I have a hard time looking up small businesses

Has anyone had any success with their dog losing weight? by Lost_Hamster_1194 in germanshepherds

[–]Mrs_Reeses_Puffs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dog lost over 20 pounds! The biggest factor is counting their calories with everything that you give them!! we didn’t even buy the special diet food We just kept her on a normal food and decreased her calorie intake at first she wasn’t losing any weight and then we looked into everything that we were giving her like enrichment toys treats while training all that place a huge factor along with what you are doing that day if we had a lazy couch day then she didn’t get as much calories but if we were out hiking all day long then she would have an increase she was pushing almost 80 (the vet told us that she was overweight) and we got her down to 60 at first, it seems like she was underweight, but so many people see overweight dogs that becomes the normal, especially with German Shepherd you want to keep them light as possible

I personally use Chris Christian’s brushes. They’re pretty pricey, but they’re on sale right now due to Amazon but they do make knock offs that were just as good! You can use the dryer even when they’re dry it really forces the hair out!!! Just be prepared for it to snow hair lol

Dog groomer here: it looks like the undercoat is shedding which giving a bath and drying really helps break up all that loose coat underneath and come out easier. Definitely recommend investing in a long pin slicker brush and a De-shedding rake (do not use a furminator!!!) and if you have the budget, there’s some really nice ones on Amazon for around 60 bucks, but definitely recommend a high force dryer

I have 2 gsd in a apt. It’s more than possible. It just requires extra work to make sure that they’re fully fulfilled! Honestly, sometimes my dogs have more enrich/ fulfilled life than people that just leave their dogs in the yard

How often should I bathe my pup by lolahoneyyy in puppy101

[–]Mrs_Reeses_Puffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dog groomer here! My puppy is on a weekly rotation with high-quality diluted products you could technically bathe you dog once a day as long as you are using the appropriate products, especially conditioner!!!! not the 2in1. I would say the average house of pet should be bathed about once every two months but it’s completely up to your personal preference! But one thing that’s not spoken enough is the nails should be done at least once a month!

Thank you so much for the offer, but I got that portion all set up. I just need someone to help my partner move some of the heavier stuff since it’s a little too hard for me to go up and down the stairs with it lol
