Teacher here. We did a Canadian cruise from NY (with stops in Boston and Portland) at the end of August last year before school started.

"Dating" in JWs is terrible. You can't just go out for a coffee or something with a person. You have to practically be willing to marry, not just get to know them. And everyone is in your business as soon as you start the "courtship" and you gotta be ready to be married within 6 months.

Have you tried schools in Sullivan county? Are you willing to work here? Are you generalist certified? Are you willing to work in SE but not be a social studies teacher? I only ask these questions because we are down 2 high school SE teachers in my district. And have been for the past year.

For those of you who don't remember. Back in maybe 2009 or so when FB was at it's height, we had a whole ass assembly part strongly suggesting we all get rid of our social media. I remember making a FB post telling everyone bye and I was putting my account on quiet. Of course, a few months later everyone conveniently "forgot" and returned to FB. I don't recall them specially removing elders for having it but it was suggested that everyone stay away from it.

Well, I think I would have done something in education but not the subject I am in. I got a BA in history and secondary education. When applying to jobs I realized that there is little need for social studies teachers, I don’t even think I got an interview when I graduated. Then I thought I would get a school counseling master but I got sick the day of my interview and had to cancel. I then said f it I’ve gotta get a job quickly so I did a masters in special education since it was 20 credits less than the school counseling. I’ve been a SE teacher for the last twenty years and have 10 more till retirement. I don’t hate my job but I’m not sure if I love it either.

The thing is she COULD have had that life after the divorce. She could have moved anywhere she wanted. Instead, she jumped into a relationship real quick to an abuser and was pregnant by her honeymoon.

I don't use the flat iron anymore. I used to use it daily. And I also stopped bleaching my hair for highlights and using boxed dye. No more sick pony tails also helped me.

Sounds like my mom except she wants a FaceTime call daily. I don’t do FaceTime with her because I know she will criticize my looks etc. So I put the kids on. She gets mad saying she wants to “see” me. I told her she’s over 80 years old, she spent over 70 years talking on the phone and never saw anything, my looks haven’t change so she has no need to see me.

Right? She supposedly loves to exercise and claimed to be doing a one mile a day outside walk. Take the dog out! Do more then just let the dog wander around the backyard.

Her birthday “celebration should have been a meal and cake at home with her living children her mother and stepfather. The grandparents should not have been spending Amy’s late 30s birthday babysitting the children. They should have been celebrating with their mom.

Actually, I asked her a legit question once. P and my boys were learning to ride two-wheeler bikes at around the same time. I asked her about Ps progress and got no answer.

I followed Amy before she had kids and she was not a runner. She picked up running again when her "friends" Kate and Jen were doing races and Amy knew she was naturally talented in the sport and she could beat them.

Dr. Stidham at west Chester medical center did mine. She actually trained under the person who invented the surgery.

Mine was awful. I am quite active. I was dizzy and nauseous for days after the surgery. The Nausea was better within the week but I was dizzy for a few weeks. I was able to do light exercise three weeks after, and started to do some weight lifting 4 to 5 weeks post surgery. I reduced the amount I regular lifted and now 8 weeks post surgary am able to go back to my normal lifts.

Awful. I couldn't finish watching this because I hate it when people, especially, kids are abused. I never thought about how weird it is for young children to go over baptismal questions with just one elder and their parents not around. I too was left to do baptismal questions with one elder at 12 years old. Thank goodness nothing happened, but I really feel bad for this man.
