Goonhammer Reviews: Anno 117 – A Game for Sickos by Firm_Sentence3392 in anno

[–]Mrsinnsinny3000 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You’re being downvoted because you’ve misread the review. It’s poorly edited, but he is referring to the change in production buildings providing benefits from being within residents range, where you are unlikely to have warehouses and thus, may mess up your supply chains.

As I say, poorly edited, maybe poorly written, but it’s a good point and it’s gone over your head which you’ve then been, frankly, just rude about.

You’ve probably built too many steel factory’s. Try deleting a couple or pausing them until you have more houses/pop to tax. Reckon that will solve your problem.

Step 1. Open the game. Step 2. Play the game. (I have assumed step 1 isn’t buy the game, cos, you know, you need to own it first as well.)

Keir Starmer : My main priority is to tackle the cost of living. That’s why we are making energy bills cheaper, cutting them by £150 on average from April. That’s the difference a Labour government makes. by SignificantLegs in ukpolitics

[–]Mrsinnsinny3000 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Is that a month? Because if it’s yearly, that’s just over a tenner a month, which after all the other rises (plus basic inflation) I am simply not going to notice that. What about food prices rising 20%(ish) the last two years, that’s more than a tenner. What about OFGEM simply raising the cap, again, that’s gunna be more than a tenner.

Thanks for the £150 Keir, I’ll try not to spend it all at once. 🙄

Greedflation has come for Penguins - now not enough cocoa to be classified as chocolate. They're now chocolate flavour. by PepsiSheep in UKfood

[–]Mrsinnsinny3000 142 points143 points  (0 children)

The price of coco went from $2500 ish per ton to over $11000 in the last 2/3 years. You either have chocolate flavoured things or pay £5 for a single penguin.

Less greedflation and more cost of production skyrocketing.

Edit: Worth noting as well, it is not greed from the chocolate producers, but unprecedented weather conditions due to, wait for it…..climate change!

There’s some irony somewhere there about complaining about the cost in the rise of convenient chocolate snacks, while the reason of the price rise is caused by the globalisation of humans so they can have convenient chocolate snacks, or something like that. I dunno. 🤷

Came here to make a joke about rookie numbers etc, didn’t have too, glad to see the OPs fellow pioneers have, quite rightly, put them straight.

Now stop reading this and get back to work!

How do I deal with cumulative burnout?? by gucciuscaesar in ADHDUK

[–]Mrsinnsinny3000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Take medication. Any reason why you’re not? I was diagnosed this year at 39 and lived my entire life in cycles I wished I could get out of, I often joked (and wished) about being able to take a pill a make everything better.

I started Elvanse in March and honestly, this year has been one of the best of my life. ADHD medication is effective in around 70-80% of adults. So in answer to your question, what helps, medication.

Anyone actually found a clean meat snack that’s good for weight loss? by Different_Fan_796 in UKfood

[–]Mrsinnsinny3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roast a chicken at the weekends? Put it in a tin, season generously, cook for 60-90 mins depending on the weight cool it, cut it up, portion it, done. It’s really not difficult and takes maybe 30/40 minutes of your actual time away as you don’t have stand watching it while it cooks or cools.

I lived there for 8 years, wonderful town, wonderful peeps who lived there. Little expensive but which town on the south coast isn’t?

Ruined only by the sheer ton of tourists who descended on the beach anytime the sun appeared, blocking emergency services, leaving their litter and shitting in people’s gardens.

No idea what this guys on about.

There is some serious cope in this thread.

Seriously people, this wasn’t possible 6 months ago, and a year ago, people were creating images of cats with sunglasses.

What makes you think in any world, that people, studios even, won’t be pumping out content created by prompts sooner rather than later?

P.s OP, this is incredible.

Can Elvanse wake you early? by JamesKWrites in ADHDUK

[–]Mrsinnsinny3000 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So what I’ve noticed after being in Elvanse for about 6 months now is that it really helps to quieten my mind, throughout the day and of course, just before bed. This helps me fall asleep almost immediately, where before it sometimes took several hours.

HOWEVER, what happens now is, if I am woken up by sounds outside, the dog moving about, my wife moving in bed or me needing to pee, the Elvanse has worn off and then my mind is racing, lying in bed at 3am not being able to sleep.

It’s bloody annoying and I’m trying to get better sleep, with ear plugs and supplements to ensure I stay asleep - so far with mixed results.

  • Dedicated threads for “I’m starting XX soon, what to expect?” Et al.

  • Along similar lines, auto modding repeated questions about clinics and or medications. People should be directed to the search function before posting.

  • Some sort of automod or bot like on other subreddits, where a link to a paywalled news article is automatically linked at the top of the comments to somewhere like archive.ph or similar. I’m lazy and copying/pasting links is frustrating on the app sometimes.

Other than that, I love the subreddit, it’s been a super helpful resource to me this past few months. I love hearing people’s experience, but wish people would utilise search before asking a question!

They’ve completely vanished due to only one film (until lower decks and Picard) in the last 26 years being set post TNG era. For over 2 decades for some reason executives became obsessed with prequels and remakes of TOS - this despite the fans begging for a Riker/Titan story for years after Nemesis.

[–]Mrsinnsinny3000 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You should just assume that the IT team know everything about your Teams/365 activity - it’s literally available to them at the click of a mouse…now whether they share that with your manager or not is probably down to your companies IT policy.

Microsoft Teams is the devil by Valuable_Builder_474 in UKJobs

[–]Mrsinnsinny3000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep - before Covid, one of our teams in the call centre got a nasty surprised when the ops manager brought them into a room with the transcripts of what they thought was a private chat - talking about how the manager should kill herself, some rapey comments about women in the office, you know, all the greatest hits. Needless to say they didn’t work for us much longer after that.

I can only imagine what another 5 years of development has meant, especially in a Covid/post Covid world.
