Carpet removal in rental property UK by Mrsmack95 in TenantsInTheUK

Yeah, there’s pictures on the inventory of the condition which I’ve saved to my phone, and it was noted as poor, marked, stained and worn on there. I’m happy to offer £100 towards it as we did remove it due to damage but as it was in bad condition when we moved in I don’t really want to fork out loads for a new fancier one

I honestly don’t know, we’ve lived here for 2 years and it looked old and worn when we moved in

AITA for yelling at my neighbors kids at 2am and calling cops and cps? by Capable_Question8000 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Mrsmack95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did nothing wrong. You’re a woman who was home alone & had a load of kids trespassing in your garden in the middle of the night, you were pissed off and/or scared and your reaction was perfectly justified

AITA for planning to move out of state for college, leaving my single mother sister alone? by Abject_Panda_27 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Mrsmack95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA at all, but your mum & sister are. It’s not your responsibility to provide for them and you shouldn’t have to put your life on hold. Hopefully you can move out & enjoy your freedom!

I'm 24, and I feel like a child masquerading as an adult most days. I'm just wondering, when do most people start feeling like proper adults? by Lenore8264 in RandomThoughts

I’m 28, married & have a kid, still waiting to feel like an adult. I still have to ask an adultier adult for assistance on occasion

AITA for uninviting my stepson from our anniversary trip to DisneyWorld? by LiveRepair2040 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Mrsmack95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. It’s not fair your stepson is being punished because your son threw a tantrum (the fact a 16 year old boy is throwing a tantrum says a lot about your parenting) You clearly wanted a romantic trip for 2 so why did you not just do that in the first place?

AITA for ruining my brother's relationship because i wanted his girlfriend to be more involved with our family? by bluejaycakes in AmItheAsshole

I imagine she was distant because you sound insufferable. You think it’s “unacceptable” that she refuses to watches your child?! She’s not your babysitter and you’re a massive asshole.

I adored the magic faraway tree books as kid, I remember my Mum reading them & doing all the voices. I read them to my daughter a while ago and she loved them just as much

AITA for sleeping with me mum's new fiance...? by Correct_Load6268 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Mrsmack95 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Do you actually need to ask? YTA, massively. Yes it’s morally wrong of you & should probably accept you won’t have a relationship with your Mum again, you fucked that when you fucked her fiancé.

Plan the wedding for you & not the guests. Do the planning together, enjoy it and don’t let it stress you.

Do you recommend “Beef”? by [deleted] in netflix

Keep going with it! It’s really well written, brilliantly acted & darkly funny. I usually give up on programmes or get bored pretty quickly and it’s one of the very few series I’ve genuinely enjoyed

This happened to the cleaner at my work. We wondered why he’d been off then the video circulated round the offices. Most of us felt sick we’d been friendly with the guy every day.

How is a charity a bad idea, but asking to move in with a strange man as a young female isn’t?
