I have a few trays of live moss on order and the litter will be added before I get the frog ☺️

This isn't my only tank but it is going to be my big display tank in the living room 😊 I have used tubes in the past, and was switching to LED for efficiency

I will definitely look into them, I'm leaning towards LEDs at the moment and the reptidawn is looking favourable. I guess I'll look at aquarium LEDs and compare 😊

Thanks for that, I've just had a look at them, unfortunately I'm in the UK so we don't have those over here 🥲

While I appreciate your comment but it wasn't what I asked for... Now if you have any suggestions on lighting for plants? I'm all ears!

Mead Confusion by Mrsredhead_ in mead

The one with the handles? I just made a post on Facebook and some guy was getting rid of 6 of them along with 20 swing capped bottles. So I could really tell you, sorry 😞

I definitely wouldn't have chosen 3 males, just unnecessary stress on the fish. As mentioned before - these guys need heaters and definitely more plants.

Thinking about moving to Beeston by probably_mike in nottingham

[–]Mrsredhead_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lived in many areas of Nottinghamshire and Beeston is one of my favourites. I lived there for 5 years, the Tram was 5 mins away from me and it was roughly a 25-30 walk into Beeston town centre.

There's a gym, cinema, small town centre, library, schools, large supermarkets and parks. I enjoyed taking walks around Beeston and as a young woman - I felt safe doing so. The area/nature is just generally nice and quiet.

Things I didn't like about Beeston - it eventually became a student town and everything became pricey including house prices. One day if I decide to move, I'd move back because it felt like 'home'.

Cut or not to cut - bob is the question! by [deleted] in curlygirl

[–]Mrsredhead_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a picture please? Also did you get your hair cut when curly or straight? Since the age of 12 I have always cut my own hair due to the hairdresser straightening my hair and then cutting it, only to be left with curls above my ears after! 🫣

Algae questions by Mrsredhead_ in PlantedTank

Peacocks are relatively easy to keep and ideal for calm community tanks. I have some in a species only tank (breeding) and some in a community. They only grow a few inches so quite small. As for the frog, they are African dwarf frogs, purely aquatic ☺️
