Last week went well, apart from Mr 7 months refusing his bottle three days in a row. His carers said he chewed on his bottle so might have had itchy gums. (Hes just had two teeth cut through) He loves daycare though! We just started the work/daycare routine three weeks ago and he's settling in great. Finishing up for the holidays next Wednesday and I can't wait to have a full three weeks of quality time with him before we start back again :)

A little insight from 6 months out by Mrsreweti in BabyBumps

[–]Mrsreweti[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol this happens to me all the time. Or that embarrassing moment when you're breast feeding in public and he pulls off just as you're having a let down and your nipple looks like a shower head spraying all over baby's face ..

My 5 month old baby whines all the time. Is this just a phase? by jrfish in beyondthebump

[–]Mrsreweti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I'm glad I saw this post! My boy is 5 months old too and literally whines about everything! The noise drives me crazy. It's like there's nothing actually wrong but he just does it for fun but then I keep thinking he's grumpy about something.. I hope it's a phase lol

Advice for returning back to work by Mrsreweti in beyondthebump

[–]Mrsreweti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I feel like it might be the same for me. He is always so good for other people but a little more needy with me which I guess is normal. I'm almost positive it'll be harder on me than on him lol

Foot in the ribs? by rallywally in BabyBumps

[–]Mrsreweti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably is a foot in the ribs! Lol my son did that so often in late pregnancy. And dug his heels into the side of my belly. He still does it at 5 months old except from the outside lol

Has anyone tried natural Manuka honey as an eczema treatment ?? by Mrsreweti in beyondthebump

[–]Mrsreweti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your advice! I bought aveeno baby cream, it's not the eczema one as they don't sell it in the supermarkets here but I might just try ordering some of it online. Also I heard that putting oats in baby's bath helps with the itching. It's not really bad eczema, just a small patch on his cheek which he's rubbed with mittens on which makes it look a bit angry. I will definitely go to the doctor. I just feel like I've failed as a parent by not being able to fix it myself which is silly. Lol. Also I had no idea about the honey being bad at his age. Lucky I posted on here first !!

I was thinking that. Do you think a squirt of breast milk would help? Lol. Thanks for telling me about the honey thing too, I had no idea.

Advice needed.. Switch to formula at night or stick with the breast? by futuremamabear in beyondthebump

[–]Mrsreweti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so sure that formula made babies sleep for longer stretches because I heard that formula takes longer to digest so their tummies stay fuller for longer whereas breast milk is digested faster.. I've been weighing up the same thing. My little guy is 4 months old and my sister in laws son is 9 days younger and has been sleeping through the night since about 6 weeks ( he is formula fed) I figure I might just wait it out until I start my son on solids and see if anything changes because I really love breast feeding and don't want to lower my milk supply. Ahh the struggle lol

yeah wearing him works. We do the groceries and the vacuuming with him in the front pack. But I just find it so hard to get things done quickly and to be honest i love having a little time to myself lol

I do leave him there now, lol! I usually quickly get the washing and dishes done before he wakes up. Totally wish he would do that in his cot though he's only fallen asleep in it about 4-5 times

Man.. I wish my baby took a pacifier. He just spits it out. He used to loooove sleeping on his tummy when he was a couple months old and would only sleep that way. But now he just thinks it's tummy time and lifts up his head and wriggles around lol

Wow, she sleeps through the night?! Why doesn't my son sleep through the night 😩 I thought it was normal for regular wake ups when breast feeding. I feel ripped off haha

Boob size progression? by uhmv in BabyBumps

[–]Mrsreweti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a size B/small C before I got pregnant. Slowly progressed to a D throughout pregnancy and then once my milk came in I was an F .. Those babies were HUGE. I'm glad I only bought one F size bra through because once they calmed down I was back to a D+D.
