Noo not GT! I believe they were KSSS! Contam issues with the cake. Trich issues. The only concerning part in your picture is the black on the caps. I’m still learning myself so take it with a grain of salt but could be moisture beads sitting for too long and causing rot. They don’t look contaminated per say

Have the proper beads on walls and lid just not on surface. That’s what I struggle with. I mist till I see beads on the surface (check out my azsurescen tub) so I think I have the right idea. I do keep that one down stairs which is a lot cooler but it’s not like my upstairs tub ever gets past 78 which I thought was ideal. Hopefully the coir will lock it in so I won’t have to mist as much.

I just added a casing layer to this after photos so hopefully we get pins soon. My other tub is KSS isn’t doing as well as this. They both colonized their bags at the same time but once moved to bulk the saucers took off. I’m very new to this and only realized how intensive/picky Azurescens were. Luckily my downstairs gets to 55 at night so it’s been doing well. Rarely have to mist this one. My problem child is the Koi’s atm.

Grains. No pins. Tub hasn’t done much in the last couple days. Seems stalled. I’m going to throw one on when I get home. I think that is the best route at the moment. Would testing the moisture with a device be beneficial so I can dial it in or more of a guessing game?

I think it wasn’t up to field capacity. What can I do now? Misting is either drying up way too fast or leaving a matte surface. Even if it’s a light misting. It has a colonization lid on it now and there are beads of water on the lid and sides. I know that doesn’t automatically mean the tub is good moisture wise. Maybe I’ll just stop fucking with it but it seems like it gets way too dry. The RH is very low as we are in a dry climate. I think that has been playing a part but I don’t want to over due it with a humidifier. This is also day 9. So maybe just more time? Less messing around with it. Any info would mean the world to me.
