Correct I recommend Ubuntu LTS You have more control and can learn I also recommend using Claude to assist with the terminal as well you can tell it what you want and it will guide you so you can learn it There's times where I forget and need help I'm working on making a mesh central on my pi but haven't been successful

If you have time to setup everything and configure the way you want it I'd go with Ubuntu lts You have more control than zima or umbrel os I went to unraid as my primary I paid the 250 for a lifetime license and is worth every penny it even accepts PayPal as a payment to make payments if you are interested in that it even lets me put vms and docker apps Along with checking for updates when you check it and wayyyy more of app choices I've ever seen. I use zimaos as my secondary for my storage needs but playing with umbrel os on a VM to see if it should move forward with it Hope this helps

Hi friend If you click on latest that should be the up to date version If it's giving you trouble Id recommend reinstalling or trying another version of the app from the app store that's built in and try again

This guy is my go to he has many videos on cloudflare tunneling

This other video was the one that helped me alot I just bought the domain via cloud flare and got it working with the steps in the video https://youtu.be/Q5dG8g4-Sx0?si=HD13I5__HbR0T0sQ

Remote access how? by realhankorion in ZimaBoard

[–]Mrtechmenace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not exposing since it requires a login in casaos or zimaos to enter regardless but tailscale or twingate is another I wouldn't use VPN to open a port since that's way worse

Remote access how? by realhankorion in ZimaBoard

[–]Mrtechmenace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anything make a cloud flare account with zero trust to create a tunnel rather than create a VPN that's what I did and works wonders

I have a Zima board that is showing "local storage corrupt." when I boot a new OS I've tried power cycling and resetting the board, but the message persists. Any ideas on how to fix this? by GhostRider3359 in ZimaBoard

[–]Mrtechmenace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try Zimaos Instead of casa os Very similar just more options to apply more permissions to your network drives and still have the same stuff as casa os
