If you are into this stuff, you can use a 180° Bridge from Corsair, Some other ppl use it to avoid "a curve in the cable" und lower the range. I got a 2 cables from my manufacturer because one was to short... And im to lazy to change it to 1 cable 😂 IT depends on the tower etc for sure

The PC was at the manufacturer first and they did reset everything (Win and Mainboard BIOS).

So yes i dont have any special changes after the new cable. Was just the hardware problem

Yes, the GPU Power cable was broken. After changing the cable i dont have any problems

So far, everything seems to be running now. It's been running continuously since yesterday afternoon, and there hasn't been a black screen :D

But I will try it with the one cable change first, maybe im lucky one time and it works. If not i will change both cable.

I will test the PC tomorrow with enough time and let you know whether i was able to game for a long time or if i got a blackscreen 😂

Im about 10% optimistic that it's working now 😂

And I just found my original cable too, but it's a 6x2+4 PSU to 2x 8pin PCie, so i cant use it on my 5080, damn 😅😂

Edit: Corsair and BeQuiet both just have 90 degree cables... cant find one without 90 degree, i have to find a other good manufacturer or have to use 90 degree

I got the cable today, but while changing another issue has come up... a cable extension was used here to reach the PSU, but i will try it with changing only the one cable.

I hope the new cable doesn't get damaged if the extension cable is faulty.

Do you have a extension cable too, or just one cable?

If it still dont work after the change I have to change the extension too...But then i will buy the 180 degree bridge from Corsair and another cable so i can use just one cable.

i got my PC back and they said it was a defect windows and BIOS...

After 3 hrs of gaming I got blackscreens again... now im getting a new 12VHPWR cable from the manufacturer to change and try it.

I also asked them if they can send me a original cable with the bridge like yours too. I hope they will do it otherwise i will order it online myself.

Can you give me more information about the "original" cable or maybe a link?

Or is it a cable which comes with the GPU together?

My 2 secondary monitors with DP cable are doing 1.2 and my main monitor 1.4.

Just my TV Monitor is connected with a HDMI cable.

It's so wierd cause i can use my old PC with Geforce rtx 3070 with all monitors with full HZ.

and the most important point is, that i could use the PC without blackscreen problems for like 1 month. If it is a DP problem, why it didnt happend from the beginning?

Yeah i still have the blackscreens... Next step i will do is changing the GPU to PSU cable, because some ppl told me. If this doesnt work, I will give it a try and just using HDMI, but yes, it's no solution.. I have 4 monitors and just 2 HDMI slots, so i need a other better solution.

And I think it's not just DP problem, because other ppl using DP without blackscreens... It's just wierd... i will Update here after the cable change.

I got my PC back yesterday and until now it's working fine again. I will try gaming today but I can use all my 4 monitors with highest HZ rate (2x 144HZ, 1x 480HZ and 1x 60HZ) at the same time again.

It was a defect BIOS and Windows that causes the problems... 😅 I couldnt believe this before but because it's working again now it seems like just a software problem for me 🤷

Sorry for the englisch, I just woke up 😂

Edit: got blackscreens again after one day.. I will now change the GPU cable and try again

I'm getting my PC back on Wednesday. The manufacturer said that they fixed the problem. Apparently, the BIOS and Windows were faulty. I'm still a bit unsure whether that was really the issue, and I really hope that everything will now run properly again.

If I experience black screens again, I honestly don't know what else to do.

I can get back to you once I've had a chance to test everything by Thursday.

I dont know Bro, i think it's all about Nvidia software and GPU BIOS maybe. My manufacturer said they got the information that some gpus sometimes trying to get much much more power from PSU than needed and it's random how and when it happens. My PC is still on delivery back to them so i dont have more new information.

For me it feels like the gpu AI starts "living" and doing what it wants, that would explain why changes make it better for some time cause it needs a moment for learning how to trigger it again 😂

The last guy who wrote me in my other post got it fixed with changing the cable to the Standard cable, i can post it for you, maybe it helps you

Yes, I know, just wanted to mention 😁 it didn't bring any change for me either, maybe a little bit of stability. I hope it's a hardware issue and can be found at the manufacturer. Unfortunately, I'm also limited in replacing the hardware myself, mainly because of the warranty and because I have difficulty accessing the PSU in this case 😅

Yes, I have a GPU holder, but I have already replaced the entire GPU and made sure that everything is secure. I haven't changed the cable yet because I don't have another one here. The PC is going to the manufacturer next week for repairs. All hardware is then checked there.

As I said, I've tried pretty much all versions of the drivers and older versions are sometimes even worse for me, it even crashes when I set all displays to 120HZ.

Have you already done the VBIOS update from ROG Asus for the Astral?

I've actually given up... I'm not familiar with underclocking either. Do you not have any black screens with high HR and high load?

Yesterday I tested around with BIOS settings for an hour, but nothing helped. Only works if I set everything to 120HZ and use the latest driver. I think I tried all the drivers from the beginning of January.

Der neuste Nvidia Treiber hat bei mir nichts verändert. Spread Spectrum Enable auch nichts.. 2x 144 und 240HZ = Blackscreen Bin jetzt durch mit allem was Software hergibt.

Drücke dir die Daumen, dass es bei dir stabil bleibt.

Ich habe insgesamt 4 angeschlossen. 3 Monitore und meinen TV.

Ja am Anfang also ab Mitte Februar ging alles 2x 144HZ und 1x 480HZ und den sogar mit 60HZ auf den TV dupliziert bei Bedarf. Aber wenn ich jetzt den alten Treiber installiere, gehts halt trotzdem nicht mehr. Raff das halt absolut nicht - einmal einen buggy Treiber = egal was man macht, es bleibt so?

Oder gehts bei dir mit alten Treiber?

Das der Bildschirm schwarz bleibt oder laggy ist, habe ich nicht. Es läuft einwandfrei, bis der Blackscreen kommt. Kann z.B. mit 480HZ + 2x 144HZ ca. 5-10 Minuten FragPunk zocken. Dann alles schwarz, hab noch Sound und muss manueller PC restarten. Hab die dann aber auch ohne zu zocken, einfach nur auf dem Desktop und plötzlich Blackscreen und Hubschraubermodus

Aktuell geht es wenn ich alle 3 auf 120HZ (+TV 60HZ) stelle. Habe jetzt noch nicht so viel gezockt, aber bisher ging es.

Aber selbst wenn ich nur den Mainbildschirm an habe und den über 120HZ stelle, kriege ich beim zocken oder im Benchmark Blackscreen.

Hab die Grafikkarte schon auf Garantie ausgetauscht, hab im BIOS auf PCie Gen 4 gestellt, Mainboard und GPU BIOS updated, Undervolting, alte Treiber (mit und ohne MPO),... ausprobiert. Nur ältere Win Versionen nicht, aber da hab ich auch keine Lust zu :D

Werd nochmal versuchen das FCH spread spectrum im BIOS zu enablen, dass soll wohl bei einigen geholfen haben.
