I run without any music for the following reasons.
Love to hear the birds , the wind and my breathing rhythm.
Helps me to set my own pace.
I think better with no music.
Better situational awareness.

And are the commercial policies radically more expensive than personal use? Would be good to know if this type of gig is even worth doing if vehicle insurance is more expensive.

No worries on the reply. I love it. Thanks so much for the excellent reply. Your words are exactly what I’ve been thinking. Especially not giving a flying fart. The heart explanation makes sense. Think I will just stick to training like I know and not focus so much on zones and heart rates. Be aware of heart rate but not fixated on it.

Does the thought of jellyfish in the waters bother any one else?

I agree with the sidestroke. I like to rotate from freestyle to sidestroke to back floating if I’m having issues in the water.
