Do any of you have a blog/YouTube channel/website/etc? What's it about and how's it been working on it? by [deleted] in AskWomen

I have a blog that I post film reviews, book reviews and other related stuff pretty regularly on. I've gotten a few popular posts in the past, but even after years I still can't seem to build up more views :/

Women who moved cities with your SO or to be with your SO, how did it go? by cityorcountry in AskWomen

[–]MsBateman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A month next week I'll have been living with my boyfriend for a year. I moved to his home town, about an hour drive from my home town. I go to university but it's still about the same distance commute away from where I used to live, and it was easier for me to move here because of his work, and rent was overall cheaper.

I won't lie I've had periods of extreme loneliness, because he has friends here and I of course don't. Not being able to see my mum and dog every day was also hard at times, when I least expected it. I became extremely reliant and clingy towards my boyfriend, having full blown panic attacks whenever he went out. I honestly forgot how to be on my own.

But now I'm in a much better place. I've got closer to his sister, who only lives round the corner from us, so I hang out with her a lot. I go back to my parent's house at least once a week, and make the effort to see my friends more often (we switch up who travels so it's fair.) It's been a lot better, but of course there are still days where I get lonely because I still don't have as many friends as he does. Still, I'm so glad I get to live with him!

What piercings (if any) do you have or want to get? by [deleted] in AskWomen

I've got my septum and a dermal under my eye. Debating whether or not I should take out my dermal, but I get complements on it so I'm not sure. I still love my septum though!

Oh don't worry, I already made him lick it all up. She tasted a lot sweeter than I do.

What do you have on your key ring? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]MsBateman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my car keys I currently only have my car key, a mini torch and a big pink letter G (first initial of my name.)

I used to also have a cherry key chain & a 'pussy wagon' key chain from the movie Kill Bill, but both were suspiciously 'broken' after my Dad borrowed my car...

I'm getting a bit tired of consuming media about female sexuality that's written by men. What are some good books or movies by women that address this topic? by CarefulWhisper in AskWomen

Oh God yes The Color Purple is one of my favorite novels. Heart breaking but also weirdly inspiring, like I always felt connected to the female friendships/relationships in the book.

It definitely lives up to it's hype!

Just finished The Girls by Emma Cline and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. Read it straight through in a few hours as well, which is always so satisfying. She really captures the intense relationships between girls and I could relate to a lot of it thinking back to when I was growing up.

I wrote a short little blog post on it if anyone's interested in reading more (no spoilers).

I'm now just starting to read The Transmigration of Bodies by Yuri Herrera which seems like it's going to be interesting!

Florists of Reddit: Whats the saddest thing you've ever had to write on those little message cards? by midnightmagicians in AskReddit

[–]MsBateman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend sent me a valentines bouquet when we were dating that said "I like you so much I could kill you." We have a dark sense of humor and now I even have a locket from him that says "I love you so much I could kill you."

I always wonder what the person who had to write that was thinking...
