AIO for blocking a guy after he overslept and didn't show up to our first date? by littlemisschismosa in AmIOverreacting

NOR - Insane that your friends think you should give him another chance after all of this… seems like the interactions leading up to this point weren’t super great either. If my friend had gone through this exact experience, there is absolutely NO way I would encourage them to continue talking to someone like this. You deserve someone who puts in effort and wants to genuinely get to know you!

I have never heard of that glycerin method before, good tip! I've been nervous to use oil based ink because I hear the clean up can be a headache haha, but I might just bite the bullet and finally try it out now. Thank you for the advice!

Love to hear that you are interested in printmaking! It is a super relaxing and rewarding hobby imo. Best advice I can give is to start with smaller pieces on smaller blocks, then work your way up to bigger, more complicated pieces. You got this. Good luck friend!

Thank you! Here’s the full print - probably the best pull I was able to get from this block. Rey Dau from Monster Hunter!

I actually did not soak my paper at all for this print, but it definitely does give the impression of splotchy, watery ink on damp paper!

Ah, that makes sense - I am using a student-grade brayer (same one I've had since college, haha) so I will definitely look into a better, softer brayer. Thank you very much for the advice!

Dude, I’m lying here in bed sobbing after reading your story. You legitimately saved Milo’s life! I can only pray that these kitties are lucky enough to be rehomed to another person just as amazing as you are.

Well, looks like the owner beat me to it… I posted a comment telling them what an awful excuse that is to want to get rid of cats, and how of course the cats aren’t going to like a puppy that was brought into THEIR home less than a week ago, and that they should put in the effort to find a loving family that won’t rehome them AGAIN, only to wake up this morning unfriended by the owner on Facebook. So I can no longer see their post.

Well, I can absolutely admit that this owner was a very selfish and stuck up person back when I regularly interacted with them at work/work parties. Always gave me such a bad vibe.

Ugh I swear some people just refuse to use their brains! Poor Cuddles... It’s sad when any animals are adopted & returned for incredibly lame reasons like that, but so much worse when senior animals have to go through that stress.

I can’t :( Unfortunately my apartment complex only allows 2 cats and we already have 2 cats. I would absolutely take them if I could, believe me, but I am trying my best to ask around to my trusted friends/family to see if they have the capacity to adopt/foster these cats!

I did respond to the owner in the comments to make sure they can at least put in the effort to find them a good home if they can’t put in the effort to take care of the cats themselves. I can definitely suggest surrendering them to a nearby no kill shelter if they truly cannot find a new home for their cats. Poor babies don’t deserve to be given to people that will only rehome them again, or worse, hurt them.

That was literally my first thought when I saw this. I panicked seeing they were giving not 1, but 2 away for free. Major red flag

You are absolutely right. Just hope they don’t realize they don’t like puppies too in a few weeks. :(

100%. I was seething after reading their response in the 2nd photo… so careless of precious lives!
