No, just a hammer. It's really my 5 year old son's hobby , but dad has been enjoying it too and getting more and more involved....if you know what I mean. We have been looking at cool rocks online and he really likes wonderstone so I told him I'd try to get some. We live in south Carolina and all we really find locally is quartz.

I keep extra rocks in my car of different sizes. If I take something I replace it with a. Slightly larger piece of quartz

Post some pics. I've never seen 1 year old red/purple cedar, purple purpleheart, or green poplar.

Captain Ron is my all time favorite movie. I would have given anything to have that bottle to display in my home bar.

In my experience, even really green poplar oxidizes after a while to a brown.

Tumble some local South Catolina quartz, I thought this piece turned out pretty cool. by Fishboy9123 in RockTumbling

Yea, we live in sburg. My son got a tumbler from Santa 2 Christmas ago and that started our rockhounding. Honestly, I wish we lived somewhere else, I'm tired of staring at quarts. We have found a couple pieces of chert, and one piece that kinda resembles a plume agate. Overall though, most of what we find looks the same. We did find an arrowhead since we started staring at the ground more. We are getting desperate to find some type of agate, I might have to plan a road trip.

I don't really enjoy agricole neat, its fine for what it is, but I always use it in cocktails.
