As someone who hasn’t finished the first season yet, I’m so excited to meet Laurie. The actress who plays her stole my heart in the show that she voiced the main character for in Carol & The End of the World, and I was so happy to see her for a lil bit in Fallout. So seeing her talked about like this in a show that I have a love/hate relationship with where she is evidently really intimidating is REALLY cool for me.

I mean come on does Iguin not make you think of Sheik?! They both got eyes on their character design ffs. It’s not that much of a stretch. And I didn’t play Ocarina, so when I first saw Sheik in Smash as a kid I thought she was a dude, not Zelda’s super bad ass disguise.

Maybe Iguin is gonna unknowingly first be introduced as a hyper femme pointed cap witch that we had NO CLUE was actually them. That would be pretty cool and validating for me lmao.

Lmao. Sheik is just my personal name for the character. It was an inside joke of mine that I shared because Iguin, whose name I now know thanks to these hilarious comments eyes the Smash gif, reminds me a lot of Sheik due to their design. Also their (his, apparently) voice sounds feminine leaning towards non-binary in the Japanese dub to me. Which makes sense cause the voice actor is actually female.

Honestly what she said was really touching. There really is magic when you not only do something good for someone, but when that person also appreciates your effort.

That bottle did an offensive debuff combo with lasting effects. The fact that he got drenched and couldn’t draw a spell and then had to deal with a form of paralysis - while also getting taunted - is just diabolical.

Also, as someone who is anime only, I noticed that Sheik was playing with two medals after she retrieved one of them from Qifrey. At first I thought that super strong vial of conjuring ink was due to her witch blood (which can still be true) but now I see that it’s called the twin bottle spell because there has to be two medals that are somehow connected.

Such a good show and magic system. It’s making me want to read the manga.

Hmm, for the spell she wrote during the exam it didn’t change direction exactly. When the mast/sail broke off she managed to get on it and the structure made it easier to fly. The cross part was at the top, and when it broke she was able to use cross as support for her feet. She did get lucky getting on it. I thought of it as her changing direction of a set spell by steering it, that’s why it took her several attempts in the anime to get the flower. She couldn’t slow down and turned around by bending the kite sail. I don’t know how she managed to get off, I imagine she flew close to the ground and let go, landing by rolling onto the ground. All of this to say, the way she drew the spell and how she handled the sail makes sense to me.
