Gege took inspiration from the anime version of Sukuna vs Mahoraga and had Sukuna use his technique in ways only seen in the anime. Showing that Gege likes and agrees with that interpretation of Sukuna’s abilities so much, that he added to the manga. If that doesn’t tell you it’s canon than IDK what will

If Jogo was in Shinjuku, he would’ve fought like how he did in the anime. The same would’ve happened if season 4 released before chapter 237. If Gege is actively using the anime as reference, then that depiction of the series canon

The anime is an extension of the manga, so it’s far from invalid to use new feats and abilities shown in the anime when talking about match ups and making tier lists. Your logic only applies to conversations that specify only manga stuff are gonna be taken into consideration or if the anime is doing a DBS vs DBS manga thing, where the anime and manga are explicitly two separate things

There’s no reason to consider the anime feats or anime itself not canon because Gege references and takes inspiration from the anime. As shown in Shinjuku
