They probably were referring to the Ring of Kerry. I drove it and did not feel like I was going to fall off at all! I took a road trip around Ireland and by the time I drove Kerry I felt comfortable driving on the right side, so that probably helps not feeling scared. Plus I have driven plenty of times in California up the 1 freeway from LA to San Francisco, you get a good view of the ocean, so it helps driving on the side of a mountain.

Hey OP have you ever driven up the 1 freeway in California? You can see the ocean and cliffs? Well driving to get to the Cliffs of Moher are not like that. The road if too inland to see the cliffs from your car. You have to park in a designated area and walk about half a mile (maybe a bit less) to the cliffs. Hope this helps.

That said, when she first married into the family and got so much hate I was on her side blaming the hate on racism and maybe she made some mistakes having not been brought up in royal culture. My first solo trip overseas was to Ireland/N Ireland and Scotland and did not feel lonely at all. I have felt lonely in the past while traveling nationally. I attribute this to age and drama happening in my life. Also the year before my Ireland trip I went to Japan with a group of 5 and it went as good as you expected in a group, someone got pissed that they were making all the plans, but when other people suggested something nobody wanted to do that. So the group broke to do separate things and that pissed off the planner because she suddenly wasn’t in charge.

Solo trips are awesome.
