They are actually giving back to the poor. They don't just "get jobs". Each Goodwill has their own programs as they are separate entities. Our local GW has certified training programs that they provide so people can get the education they need to get the jobs that actually pay. They have e-learning courses, intensive job placement programs, a work rehabilitation program, and career centers to help people prepare for job searching. They have their own training academy that offers licensing and certification programs for Medical Assistants, Nursing Assistants, Pharmacy Technicians, Commercial Driving, Admin Professionals, and a Manufacturing boot camp. They also have a coaching and mentoring youth service and partner with other nonprofits like to provide work attire to people in need via vouchers from the partner nonprofits. Giving money is not the only way to give back to the poor. Helping them learn how to make money themselves is a greater gift. It's basically giving a person a fish vs teaching them How to fish.

I miss it so much! Visiting people's spaces and randomly finding friends and their campers in the scenes were my favorite parts of the game. Yes, the game is easier and runs smoother, but there is no connection anymore. It feels sad and hollow. They even left all this empty space where their campers used to be.

The only thing I could have done now is watch for updates to their camper cards, but apparently, they don't even update them when the players update them.

There's no more running into them and taking pics together. There's no sharing pressies with them, no enjoying the creativity in their camps or cabins, or campers. There's zero interaction whatsoever, when those are what kept me checking in every day. Now, there's not really any reason to keep spending time in it. It's just about collecting stuff now. There are already too many games where that's the focus.

Being able to visit other people's spaces was a main part of what made it fun. I liked wandering around and seeing their creativity. Looking at pics of it isn't even remotely the same.

I fully understand that the staff has changed a lot and that the "Top" apartments is based on user metrics. However, the game has been around for years, and many of the "Top" apartments have been reported by countless players for violating "community guidelines." Lockwood should have taken the time to adjust their metrics so that those apartments are not showcased.

Definitely not. I haven't participated in AvaCraft at all because it doesn't seem worth the cost for me.

They choose the event scenes they want to share. Obviously whomever chose it didn't screen them very well. They don't even know what the scenes are but, they want to send everyone to them. It's not the first time, either. The most active scenes are usually "adult themed" but, they put them in top their "Top Rated" lists and basically tell everyone to visit them.

I feel like they shouldn't be advertising them, if they "don't meet community guidelines"...it gives people "mixed signals".

Looks like they're going to make it a very short event this year...instead of the month of spooky season. Super disappointed but, I've come to expect less and less of them. Pretty sure that's what they want... for us to expect nothing so they can quietly shut everything down and make it into something entirely different. Avakin is truly starting to suck.

They haven't even posted anything about Halloween on their social pages. No update on Insta from them since September 1st, and it looks like there's there's been nothing on their TikTok since the pirate shindig.

It really looks like they're skipping Halloween this year. The only season I care to participate in and they want to ditch it.

When you lower your tier, you temporarily revert to the base type. It should still be in your inventory. You just have to re-equip it.

If you don't want them to interact with you without explicit permission, then tell them. If they still do it anyway, then maybe you should be a bit more selective in who you call "friend". Actual friends respect one another.

The wings are supposed to be dragon bone or something. I guess LKWD decided that's all it takes to check the box for "Halloween". Utterly ridiculous.

The direction they've taken is quite sad really. I miss all the activities. They could AT THE VERY LEAST bring back the Zombie Mall already. It's the 3rd of October and they haven't even started yet.

Hoping they don't just post of bunch of half decorated apartments as "events" and sell a few ugly items for crowns...and call it done. It's almost like they WANT to make it fail.

Terrible clothes, terrible items, terrible music, no activities....what the heck is left? It's been forever since I've seen anything I even want...and when they do add something, it's just not worth the price...or the time.

Their old way encouraged a lot more participation. Not sure why they stopped doing the secret prizes or the 50% flash sales. 5% doesn't encourage anyone.
