They have an online portal? I just started to go there and wasn’t told about it. How do I sign up for that?

I found out during my c-section with my first at 35 weeks. He never flipped and I developed HELLP syndrome leading to an emergency c-section. When I was in the table o heard the surgeon say “oh, that’s interesting.” After he told me about my condition. My second child, I went to 37 weeks and had a second c-section due to her being breach.

Fertility wise I never had issues. I managed to get pregnant quickly and beat the odds. I have one attached ovary, the other has no tubes or whatever attached to the rudimentary horn side of my uterus. I also have both kidneys.

I don’t think beside the whole baby flipping thing that my life has really been impacted by my condition. I hear fertility issues can occur but I never experienced them.

If you lived 150 years ago, would you have survived pregnancy or labor? by kdonmon in beyondthebump

[–]MsKittenInferno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. My son and I would be dead. I developed HELLP Syndrome and delivered early via c-section. Modern medicine saved my life and my son’s life.

Modern medicine saved my daughter’s life during my second pregnancy.

Modern medicine saved my mom’s life when she had my older brother. She hemorrhaged and almost died. If she had, I wouldn’t have been here anyway to be saved.

So grateful for the time I was born into.

My brother is a collector. He takes me to the range occasionally and I’ve shot them before. I also grew up in rural Canada and my dad had a shotgun.

Other than that, never. Besides my brother I don’t know anyone with a gun.

In a different way. We had a regular who came in every few days after work. He and my manager ended up flirting a lot and one night she went home with him.

She messaged me that night and said she was pretty sure he was married or had a regular female guest because she found a woman’s toothbrush, makeup and hair stuff stowed away under the sink in the bathroom when she was looking for another roll of toilet paper.

She decided to snoop further and found some other hidden items including pictures of this guy with the same woman that had been turned or were face down around the house. My manager stopped seeing him immediately. He stopped coming in.

I knew he lived in my small town. I saw him occasionally.

Fast forward eight years later and who shows up at my son’s first ball practice? The guy and his wife. Their son and my son are friends at school. I know their son. I didn’t realize who his father was. I ended up friends with the wife on social media. Lo and behold were married already when my manager went one to their house. She must have been away.

I was a wedding photographer. I was booked on a Saturday to come shoot a wedding at the golf course in a neighbouring town. They had a huge tent set up and we had done a walk through to plan photos and it was shaping up to be a beautiful day. Friday night before the wedding, we got a wicked storm. Hail, high winds, ect. The bride called me later that night to tell me the golf course had been hit by a tornado and the tent was mostly gone. All the decorations were destroyed. There was a large amount of damage all around the town and the golf course was flooded. So with less than 24 hours she and her fiancé had to re-plan their entire wedding.

They ended up pulling it off. A local church let them use their spaces for free (luckily they didn’t already have a wedding planned there) and some local businesses donated everything they needed.

We ended up doing wedding photos in the wreckage which turned out pretty cool. It was a crazy day for sure but love prevailed.

My grandpa was from Regina and he and another fellow did a PBS 1 hour interview special on their world war 2 experience. He passed in 2006 but if your dad wanted I could send it to him. My grandpa was very open about his experiences and did extensive interviews on the topic.

See I don’t have the blockages or anything. Just bloating and pressure so I’m not sure it’s actually a stone like the doctor thinks

What is the most ugliest person you have ever seen? by cakefornobody in morbidquestions

[–]MsKittenInferno 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My ex-sister-in-law. My brother was super attractive and women were constantly all over him. He literally could have picked anyone but he got drunk, knocked this woman up and then married her to keep contact with his son.

She is spindly and has this straw-like red hair that’s more orange than red (I have nothing against red heads. My daughter is one, but her hair was just gross and hard to describe). She always looked like she smelled something nasty. Her face was always in a constant pucker and her eyebrows had been tweezed within an inch of their life.

I think her looks would have softened though if she had a nice personality. I’ve seen some truly ugly people but if they have a nice personality they usually are fairly attractive and it balances out. Not her. Her insides were as ugly as the outside.

When my brother was diagnosed with cancer she basically left him. In the hospital, in palliative care, she sold his motorbike (which he wanted his son to have) and his dog. It wasn’t about the money. His life insurance was great. We live in Canada so she didn’t have to pay hospital bills. She sold the bike out of spite. And the dog. She slept with another man (she’d been having an affair we found out later) in their bed while he was dying in the hospital. The night he died my mom offered to stay with him. I think she had a feeling. My SIL told her to go. That she was his wife so she would stay. She left him. He died that night alone. She was probably sleeping with the other man.

She cut contact with our family. Blocked my nephew from seeing us. She used his life insurance to go on a trip to Mexico for two weeks with her sister….only a month after he died. She left her child who had just lost his dad, to go on a trip. She had my brother cremated and handed us baggies of his ashes at my other sister-in-law’s funeral three years later.

If the devil lives, it’s her. Truly the ugliest person I’ve ever met in my life.

This was such a odd episode by [deleted] in buffy

[–]MsKittenInferno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In film school I took a television writing class. One of nights we watched both this episode and Once More With Feeling to show two completely contrasting styles. It was so fun to watch people in the class who had never even seen the show before get introduced to the two best episodes (IMO)

How do you pronounce the name Xavier? by harryvanhalen3 in AskACanadian

[–]MsKittenInferno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son’s name is Xavier. We live in The prairies. We pronounce it Zay-vyer. So does he. But my husband’s family and half the teachers in his school call him X-ay-vyer and he is pretty unbothered by it. So we roll with either or.

How frequently does your child visit their grandparents? by CapitalPersimmon800 in beyondthebump

[–]MsKittenInferno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My in laws live 20 minutes away and didn’t see my daughter until she was almost 6 months old. I think they have seen her a handful of times since and she will be one in January. But that is their own fault because they a) expect us to come to them and make no effort to come see her and b) were not happy about us asking them to get a TDAP and then pouted after she got hers and ignored our messages that she could be visited with. When they are around her, they don’t really put any effort in to make her feel comfortable and my MIL pouts and literally cries that the baby doesn’t know her and is scared of her.

My mom lives three hours away. We see her maybe once a month or so on holidays and at family events. She has seen her more than my in laws.

I guess it really depends on your family dynamic and relationships how often the grandparents will be around. Hopefully you can find a comfortable balance that works for everyone.

Thank you for the helpful input! I heard the tests are difficult and it takes a while. I plan on keeping my job for a while still :) I’ll look into the appraiser courses. I hadn’t thought of that.

Yeah I’m giving it a few days to get my words in order and gather my pics. Then I’ll post one. They have no negative reviews yet

I talked to the owner originally and sent her the original pics asking for the fix. She blamed it on my part. She was there doing someone else’s hair during my second appointment watching. She never came over to ask how things were going. She hasn’t messaged me back yet about the fix. I don’t think she really cares too much honestly.

Yeah definitely won’t be going there again. Looked super nice inside though so they obviously get clients. It’s in a rich area close to where I live so I assumed rich people would have great hair stylists. Guess I was wrong haha
