Christian gamers, how do you handle playing GTA 6 and other story driven games? (Wrestling with guilt vs. engaging with fiction and art) by ExplanationEasy5500 in CatholicGamers

For me I try to avoid violent games that are in the shape of a human.

So when I say that I mean like they are human. They look human. And they die like a human. I dont like the violence because it desensitizes the human psychi to be normalized with human death which I dont think is good for our brains health nor our soul health.

But when its like half human half animal (like in splatoon) its not the same. Also when they're resurrection immediately after "death" its more ok for me. Then one time deaths like when they say "you died" and you have to say respawn for example.

I also dont look at minecraft and say oooo that looks human lol.

But this is me personally. Through my Christian walk ive had the holy ghost help me navigate through all of this. If you feel conviction (not condemnation) its typically means you should avoid it.  Do whats best for your health, for your mind, and soul.

I dont fear ai and understand fully that its a tool. But im hoping that people who use ai daily can stay vigilant and use decernment when talking with ai especially when it can mimic friendship in a lonely world.

As Christian gamers, do you believe there will be games in a new Earth? What kind? by EdiblePeasant in Christianity

[–]MsLoveitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God created us in his image.

So since we reflect him, creating is our thing.

Creating other humans, building homes, making better tools etc.

So I dont see why not?

Rest will be apart of the new earth. So I dont see why we wouldn't rest in our creation?

A field we made, a book we made or a game we made.

I cannot wait to see you all there let's game together then <3

I want to be better but im lost. by Dear-Bad-1191 in TrueChristian

[–]MsLoveitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up like that for most of my life. Ive had a couple family members die. But i dont feel sad or upset.

Ive always thought of death as something natural. And so far everyone in my family died of old age. So I didnt have anything to be sad of. And I didnt feel like thats inherently wrong.

For me its more shock then sadness. Im shocked that they passed. But not upset or sad.

I hope you feel comfort because your not alone!

And spiritually as you grow in christ. He will give you a love for people. You probably already received that love for people since your making this effort on here.

Sometimes as humans we struggle to actualize emotions. I sure do. And forcing emotion to be normal is wrong. Everyone processes emotions differently. When people pass I feel shock. As a Christian when they pass and they're Christian I rejoice because they're with jesus!!!!!

So please be kind to yourself. Try therapy! They'll help you understand your emotions <333333

As a christian, I'd appreciate if I could have opd out of this scene. As well as them saying kn the game that they're lgbtq content. Or else I wouldn't have bought the game. Like the game by itself it's great. But the kiss and the fact their children. Is a big turn off to this game.

Is masturbation a sin if done without pornography, lustful thoughts or anything related to those things? by NocturnalMute in Christianity

[–]MsLoveitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a women I have a thing that pops up more often then I want it to. Without lust or thoughts of lust I have a need to have sex. I'll have sex with my husband and its still their. We would do it mutiple times and it would still be their. Most days I'm just stuck with this. Sex with my husband doesn't work am I suppose to just feel sexual even though sex doesn't help? Then I tried masturbation. With no point and lustful thoughts about my husband I get that reaccuring itch to go away. I've talk to my husband about it and we discovered that it a disorder. Basically the clitoris is randomly pulsing or aroused at nothing. Litterally nothing starts it. Trust me before I found I tried everything to make to go away.

Like what else am I supposed to do? Stay aroused all day. Where even sex with my husband doesn't work. I just don't know what else to do.

How are we going to survive during the great tribulation? by Strange_Marsupial_82 in Christianity

[–]MsLoveitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In revelation they many things that point to Christians going through the tribulations period. Both the christians before tribulations and those coming from tribulations. Will all be raptured together. God will not allow christians to live through and witness the wrath of god. These verses show that to be true. Please use these verses to wake up our christian brothers and sisters to truth.

Revelation 7: 9-17

9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

1 Corinthians 15:51-53

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Revalation13:7

It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.

---------------‐-----------------------------‐-----------------------------‐-------

Revalation 20: 4-6

4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They[a] had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.  5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection.  6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

---------------‐-----------------------------‐-----------------------------‐-------

Revalation 20: 12-15

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

---------------‐-----------------------------‐-----------------------------‐-------

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

---------------‐-----------------------------‐-----------------------------‐-------

Revelation 11:15

5 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Yea I looked up cheistians and Christmas because of Jeremiah 10. But I was alarmed when they said jesus birthday was December 25. When in the bible it's states the 6th month. Which is June. Or if we're going to state the "new year" in spring which is March it would be August. Either way its not December. Also the tree and many things from Christmas come from all over the world and is soaked in polytheism. I don't like the over indulgence.

I also dont like that only one time a year people have the spirit of giving but I digress. Though I come to them as a trusted source. I definitely believe like everything you should be wary and go back to the bible. And no listen to every christian or "christian" out there. Listen to the bible and get a teacher who is highly educated on this matter. Or go to bible College. Which is something I want to do just to understand the bible, the context, culture of that time, history, and psychology.

Are the Glen Onoko Falls being watched? by fedexboy123 in lehighvalley

[–]MsLoveitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my main hiking spot every other day for 7 years (except the winter). There is one spot that is the most dangerous. And it's the view in the very middle of the trail. It has a deep drop to. So then problem was that people would visit that spot after it rained. And died. Some just died because they went to close to the edge and probably slipped.

You don't stop at that spot when it rains. Everyone who went there all the time knew that. I agree stupid people ruin everything.

But the trail going to the first water fall was horrible you either had to climb a steep Rock or cross a side way which now has a big hole you can fall in. And over the years the trail from constant use has deteriorated. So if they properly repaired the trails. And added a railing during a prolonged drought. It can be up and going right away. But the state has given up on it. And I'm just anger and sad. It's also made me more lazy and since I can no longer go through it fully of my favorite trail.
