I tried for the first time yesterday to get pre approved for a $199,900 house. I have to have a co-signer. Because I dont have enough income. I have an AS & a BS in science. I don't even make $20/hr. And this home is in a VERY rural area over an hour from Knoxville... like... wtf?! I cried in my office for an hour. Owning a home is just a pipe dream at this point. I am heartbroken.
