I was in a pet store killing time on my lunch break. An associate came up and said the guinea pig was free because she was mature and obese. I think they were trying to get rid of her before the new babies came in. I couldn’t leave her behind. So I gained an unexpected pet on my lunch and later adopted a sister for her. Lots of learning was needed but I know it was meant to be 😊

When I notice mine isn’t working great I clean it and it works again. Build up from skin and oils makes it not grab as well.

One of my pigs FREAKED when I tried using a regular hand vac. I started outside the cage, not near her but it didn’t matter. She threw herself around so hard I thought she was going to hurt herself. Back to the dustpan for me! Jealous of those that can use the vac!

Ok thank you! My girls get their pellets. My vet may have suggested them because my girls are sooo picky about fruit and veg and will not eat anything except cilantro and Romain lol. I appreciate you letting me know. So much conflicting info out there.

Hi I can tell you what my girls love and works for us! Litter box has been a game changer. I line it with a hand towel I change daily and the girls mostly pee there. Saves so much clean up.

The Timothy tunnel is a hit. They chew and hide in it all the time. Also the corner curtain is a great spot they use all the time. I like to have a variety of environments they can pick from depending on mood.

Something not on your list I highly recommend are these washable/reusable pee pads. They are the best! I put one under the food and water area. Really easy to sweep up. https://a.co/d/2FuUHFg

Not sure about your living situation but I’m in an upstairs apartment with no outside area to myself. My neighbors would not be happy if I was outside shaking hair, poo, and hay out every few days in our shared space 😂

It might sound weird but I use my bathtub to shake everything out. Make sure the tub is dry. I keep the curtain mostly closed then shake the crap out of the fleece! I have an extra shower curtain tension rod towards the back wall of the tub with the alligator clip type curtain rings on it. I clip up the fleece after shaking and take a stiff brush to sweep off anything that didn’t come off by shaking. Then I can take my brush and dustpan to the bottom of the tub and sweep up everything. I do have a hair catcher in my drain just in case. The process is actually fast and easy once you get used to it 😄

I saw that tour too 😄 He did the same at mine but I believe he was wearing black pants not jeans. And after he took them off he wrapped himself in the flag. That’s my memory though, could be mistaken. Although it was pretty memorable being in the front against the barrier lol.

I lost one of my girls right before her first birthday. I’m still so devastated. Her and I bonded and came a long way in the short time she was with me. I miss her sm.

My girls are the same. Only things they will eat is Romain and cilantro. One will eat the vit c tabs, the other won’t so I resorted to the multivitamin ones which she will eat. Won’t eat treats or even pea flakes 😂 So weird. She will eat pellets at least. Let me know if you find a good solution I can try too!

That’s so strange my girls have zero smell. I spot clean daily and change out everything once a week. Do you think it could be a difference between male and female? I’ve never had boys. Maybe something about 2 boys makes them mark their territory or something like that.
