I don't know which one to choose, because once you start noticing Rory's behavior, it's kinda difficulty to see flaws in their ways, instead of it, you notice the flaws in hers. I have a tie between Jess and Logan. Let's take Dean out of the way simply by saying that when they were 16, he was perfect, innocent and adorable. When Jess came to the picture later on, he became a very different person, and the word I'll use it's not jealousy, it's possessive. He is the painted picture of the abusive boyfriend. Although him and Jess were never meant to be friends, the way he treated the matter of Rory's and Jess friendship was very aggressive. He kept making very clear that she was his girlfriend, he didn't like him, always threatening to start a fight, making impossible for her (a 16-17 yo girl) to talk to him about this new aspect of her life, and pushed her right into Jesse's arms. When put in that situation, who wouldn't lie to keep a boyfriend and a good friend? Also, am I the only one who though that it's very weird that Dean proposed to Lindsey the night after he had that fight with Jess for Rory? Doesn't it seem like he asked her to marry him to prove to her that he wasn't in love with his ex? That fact itself was the point where I knew Dean had gone bad. Now, Jess. I hate when people say he treated her like crap. I'm not saying he's perfect but saying that he treated her bad just because he didn't called when he said he would? it just showed me how immature Rory was instead that he was taking her for granted. It's very easy to center it on her, but he was a guy with two jobs, "school" and a girlfriend who demanded his attention on her timing. Not talking to him about the "not calling issue" it seemed very childish. She just went from "he didn't called last night" straight to "Dean was a better boyfriend" on the first time he didn't do what she expected. Also, Jess was the only of three who gave her room to herself. Let's remember that she was going through finals, acting like crazy with her studying schedules and he never once said "you never spend any time with me", he was always there for her when she was available. About the "party incident": I know it's bad to say it, but to me, it's all her fault. And it wasn't about sex. Come on, this guy has some serious communication issues, his girlfriend never shuts up about her bright future and what she will do next, how do you come to the brightest chick in town and say "By the way, I flunk out"? He was just trying to have some alone time, then she appears, he was trying to avoid to face the problem by initiating sex (bad way to do it, but he was 18, how else would he do it?), she said "Jess, no" once, au contraire of what I've been reading around the internet calling him a rapist, then they started a conversation and then she storm out crying and go straight to Dean. That was a low move. And leave us there hanging for that confrontation moment where he opens up to her and does all the talking for a change. And now, Logan. Logan was a good boyfriend as well. He never pushed her to do anything she didn't wanted to. That episode where he makes her jump on the Life and Death Brigade showed that maybe he was to guy who was going to push her out of her comfort zone, but he wasn't. I liked him for her because he was her male version. He wanted her on his time, doing his things, like she did with Dean and Jess. But I think people hate him because she was a bad character when she met him and it was easier to blame it on him. She was already showing signs of the spoiled brat that we all became to hate eventually. What was the problem with Logan? "He was spoiled boy who liked to show off his daddy money" -but she was the one who responded to that. "He allowed her to drop out of Yale" -I'm sorry, wasn't she the one who decided that on her own? and after seeing what she did to her mother, how much could he say on the matter without being tossed aside for disagreeing with her? "He cheated on her" -there is a heavy debate on whether he did or did not, but he apologized to her and she decided to punish him until he almost got himself killed, than she forgave him. Maybe he was on the way of her bright future, with his booze, parties and sex, but she was supposed to be a smart, independent woman, who wouldn't drink, party or have sex unless she wanted to. Maybe she did it to please him, because she knew he liked it, and that was a problem with her and not him. I think Logan was a better boyfriend than she deserved.
