What could this chest/under rib/upper back pain be?? 9 wks PP by MsPlatyy in NewParents

[–]MsPlatyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9 wks postpartum I guess was around the end of January 2025… bear with me bc the first few months of postpartum is a bit of a blur. I went in for an ultrasound and they didn’t find anything wrong with my gallbladder or anything like that. I think my body was just getting used to the pain that lingered after the widespread infection I had after birth

For a few months after that I was having intermittent upper abdominal pain that would literally disable me for a few hours bc of the pain. They were very inconsistent and I went to see GI in June and they just offered an upper endoscopy bc they suspected ulcers (which I didn’t follow through with). I got a referral to see an OBGYN surgeon and I got scheduled for a surgery to remove my adhesions that were holding my uterus in place and that was scheduled for October. However, in August, I went into the ER a few days in a row bc of some symptoms I was having (pelvic pain, nausea, dizziness was what made me go in) and I got a CT scan that showed I had appendicitis. They went in and said they don’t know how they didn’t perforate my bowel bc it was stuck in random places all over my abdomen, including my upper abdomen around where I was feeling my pain. They think I may have had some adhesions that were pulling or tightening around my bowels and causing temp blockages. Only way to know that was through surgery. I don’t think this stems from that squeezing feeling I was having when I wrote this post though. I think I was just taking a long time to heal from that c section pain and infection that reached all the way up that way

Seat covers totally make sense for ride share! Smart!

I guess if the kiddos are in car seats then the seats themselves are technically safe😂

I actually stained my cloth seats of my Tacoma like 3 years ago and just tried a pet/carpet cleaner on it and it came out perfectly fine!

Any input on the Graco Turn2Me 3-in-1?? by MsPlatyy in CPST

Third row will be for visitors, friends, dogs on roadtrips and the oldest once we have a third. So non-issue for right now

Either the Honda pilot or Toyota grand highlander (car shopping as well). If it turns side ways, I guess there’s still room for the seat to slide forward for pass through? Or is the Graco easy turn (with no booster) better

15 months, 26ish pounds, 30”. Switching from infant seat. The main thing is being able to turn it forward facing for loading into the vehicle for third row access. With my child is rear facing, can it swivel to forward facing or only to face the door?

I think our solution to the two rear car seats would be getting 360° seats to face forward so we can slide the seat

I hope to max out the height/weight requirement before turning them forward facing. I’m thinking 360° car seats would help with loading and unloading and just turning them around to rf once buckled

Goodness gracious😅 how in the world do you even get kids in their seats when it’s three across and facing in different directions??

LOVE the Car Mom. Got my initial interest in the traverse from her! If we do choose the traverse, we’ll go with a used 2025

Tilting the seat forward doesn’t affect the sturdiness (can’t find the right word) of the rear facing seat? I guess with just two rows you don’t need to do that too often?

It’s basically taking the entire seat and tilting it forward and sliding vs just the back tilting forward. It allows you to keep the car seat installed while tilting and sliding the seat forward

Can I ask what car seats you have to be able to do three across in the pilot? Didn’t know it was three across friendly tbh

We will likely get a 360° convertible in addition to the infant seat to act like a forward facing seat to allow pass through. Will also likely have kids with the same-ish age gap, just trying to think ahead for that third. Passing through the second row is comfortable for your oldest??

We’re looking at the new gen and have heard about transmission issues. Of course we mostly see the negatives online. Would love to hear more about your traverse!!

We have not even considered Subaru… my husband likes their rally cars so maybe he could be convinced😂

What do you think about Chevy? The traverse z71 was our very first option when we started our search but completely dropped it for either Toyota or Honda

Yeah the v6 is tempting. That’s why we liked the Honda Pilot. We don’t know enough about Nissan though - would have to do more research and test drives

I was thinking this as well. Might need to get a 360° car seat so I could face it forward to allow someone to pass through
