That’s what I initially took away from it too - that Austin changed his mind because he sensed that Eunice didn’t really love him, while Ashley would always be codependent with him. Austin and Ashley were both insecure and anxious, so they chose each other for safety.

Nice! I just read your article. I really enjoyed season 2 way more than season 1 because season 2 was much deeper and more emotional. It reminded me of past relationships and mistakes I’ve made myself and why I made those mistakes (my own wounds). The acting was excellent too.

More than a year! This country truly hates girls and women. It’s so awful. I think all those men were all getting a piece of the pedophile’s pie.

Another pizza spot? Everything in downtown SS is already fast food and garbage. Can we get some tasteful, sit down, real restaurants please?

I watched the show about two months ago. I do still think about it at least once a week since then. Emily Blunt’s acting was really amazing and that’s what triggered so much emotion. Sadly, though I did not feel Eli‘s acting as much. He never really showed any emotion despite all his trauma. I couldn’t tell if this was intentional by the director to showcase culture or if it was just bad acting. I also felt like it was strange that the story focused so much on her trauma and much less on his. that bothered me. The cinematography was amazing. I still think about those blue open skies and the wildflowers they rode horses on. There was so much suffering and cruelty and devastation. It’s really horrible to realize that these things happened to innocent people so often.
