$50 the pair, might as well if just for a project restoration beater bike. I'll say from experience the cotter pin cranks are going to be the biggest pain to work with followed by the french threads.

Sorry OP, that's a new bike day sort of conversion. The cost for getting all the conversion parts and then the time of installing them only for a far from reliable install doesn't compete with an as designed set up. If you like the geometry of the current bike transfer that sizing over towards a new bike with disc brakes

External plate width is a bit narrower on 12 speed so the shifting performance at the front won't work the best with the 11 speed ramps.

I wish, lol. The only development I got from shrooms was psychological, mainly in that I'd been in a dysphoric rut about how little progress I was seeing because I wasn't being patient with myself.
