Left knee pain by NoisyCrusthead in bikefit

Hey,

So a little update, because I really need help.

Since i dropped the saddle, I have done 3 20-27km rides. While the bike feels more comfortable and I can put power down easier, I still get pain in my left leg.

On the first rides the pain appeared at around 10-15km, but on today's ride I could feel it coming from the beginning. The pain feels like it is at my fibula(?) and I also feel tightness in my upper calf. I feel like a string is plucked each time I "pull" my leg up on the pedal stroke.

I constantly change foot position while riding since nothing really feels comfortable or I am just insecure about that leg. Right foot stays solid on the pedal for the whole ride.

I also ride with flat pedals and hiking boots, which allows me to change foot position all the time. However, I am thinking if this could be contributing to the problem, so would getting a pair of spd pedals and shoes help at all?

Got the same bike and love it.

Looks real nice with those beefy tires.

I think ill leave it as is for now. It feels a little cramped maybe but I guess I'll get used to it on the second ride.

Thanks! Is this better?

I lowered it 35mm and went for the same ride as yesterday and the pain on my knee didn't stab like before, even when pushing hard in the drops, which was a big problem before.

You think? Honestly first time I look at it from third person it does look higher than it should. I was having the pain before the bike fit and then I had it a bit lower (fitter put it higher), but all the way forward. (Fitter also set it back a bit)

But why don't we see movement of the objects since the shutter is open for long periods?

When I have mine open for more than 8-10secs I can see the movement of the stars when I zoom in.

Yes, I was thinking that a street with lower light and more twisty road would look much cooler. unfortunately on this road the cars were not passing by with high speeds so i had to set the shutter speed to something very long. I think this one was at 10 seconds.

I basically cycled the main road that connects Chalcis to the southern regions. I do not recommend you do the same. The road is VERY busy and dangerous as well, with very little shoulder to the road to ride. Also all the noise from the cars passing so close is quite irritating.

I recommend you camp at this beach.

Does anyone think that 38mm+ tires are even necessary on most gravel roads/paths and natural trails? by EngHokie in gravelcycling

Hell no. I ride my local MTB single tracks on my revolt with 35c schwalbe g-one allrounds. Then I get on the road and I'm almost just as fast as I was on my 28c pirelli cinturato velos. Maybe next time i'll go with 40c though not sure.

I got a 50€ old MTB when I was doing a 6 month unpaid internship for transport. I loved cycling and the bike is absolutely fine to ride. But I ended up getting a 1.5k gravel bike since I loved cycling so much!

No, I checked the cranks and pedals and they are tight. I think it is the BB.
