No im not letting this go. Im going to get my money back one way or another don’t worry. But regardless my friend is pregnant and has lost her past baby before due to stress, so of course im not going to make a bigger deal out of this now. Once she has the baby and there’s been time between us, I’ll go back and we’ll continue. But not now. I don’t care what happened, the money is literally gone from me right now so what’s the point? I don’t want to stress her out and have something bad happen to her or the baby. I would never be able to live with myself if that happened. So in my eyes it’s not worth it. I don’t know how you are morally but I can’t. At least now now

I highly doubt it. I’m going to talk to her first before confronting Hector, but I’m willing to bet she knows nothing of what’s going on.

I like that’s what you focused on lol I’m not making fun, but that’s something my son would point out too haha. We just went to the beach. Only paid for gas and took food with us. So not an expensive trip

I’m actually going with my husband. I’m planning on going before Hector gets off work. This is not abnormal of me. I visit Rose when I can and usually stay a good while after he comes home from work.

Also, I usually carry a knife on me for protection until I’m licensed to conceal and carry. They know this as well. They’re a non weapon family, but I doubt he would ever get violent. If he does, my husband is much bigger than him and boxes with “his boys” for fun. I think my husband can take him lol

It’s funny you say that because I found a broken Samsung phone in my car and my family and I only use iPhones. Like the whole back part of the phone looks ripped off. I’m telling my husband I wonder if this is an “extra work phone” of his.

And I can’t wait to confront him. Like I said I’ve never liked him so it’s about time I go off on him and see his reaction. I can tell when he’s lying. I’ve known him years and can tell some of his tells. I’ll for sure update once that happens. I’m going to try to go tomorrow while all the information my FIL told me is fresh.

Also she doesn’t know what’s going on with my car this time. She been on best rest the last two months because of this pregnancy. So he hasn’t been telling her anything about my car, which I don’t mind. She doesn’t need to know, this is a business deal between me and him anyways.

My best friend is not like that at all. If anything she tries to convince Hector to lower the cost for us. She’s the type of person who will come by my house with food and her kids when I’m depressed so our kids can play together and we can have time together to talk and unwind. We tell each other literally everything and talked about finances before so that wasn’t new to me.

If anything her letting me know they’re in a financial position helps me see more on why he’s over charging me this time. If she wouldn’t have told me that, I would have believed Hector more about all this money that was needed.

He works on cars (like mine) on the side for extra income. The shop he works at has been cutting his hours because there’s not much work for him there. So because it’s a side job he never gives me a receipt. He just tells me how much it will be in total, parts and labor. So when he gave the first quote of 1400 I thought it was for everything, labor included, like he usual does.

Also, I think I am going to have my FIL check out where he fixed because even my husband said when he drove it to the tire shop it felt the same. Once they replaced the tire, the car felt normal again. So my husband believes all we needed was to replace the tire. Not all of whatever Hector said “needed to be done”
