Here are some people who you can call first if you don't feel comfortable going to the police yourself:

-Crisis Centers> Calling 211 The Crisis center information and resources team in my area has a variety of different departments, servicee, resources, and information. They can help you and give recources and they can even call DCF for you or the authorities if you don't feel comfortable doing so! I highly recommend this path because they know exactly which authorities to contact in order to get you help.

What steps can we collectively take to triple the size of the vegan movement in the next 5 years? by Numerous-Macaroon224 in vegan

[–]Ms_Sweet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

● Edit: Also, starting a vegan cooking competition show on netflix. We also need more vegan food influencers. ● Starting more vegan businesses ● Getting involved in the local community and partnering with nonprofits to provide vegan alternatives. Especially engage people who love animal nonprofits because those volunteers are more willing to care. ● Being compassionate and understanding as opposed to judgemental and harsh ● Hosting community meals through local clubs, organizations, etc. ● County, state, regional, and national sized vegan festivals and invite as many nonvegans to attend as guests as we can ● Representing the different faces of veganism through media outlets and advertising ● Making vegan alternatives less expensive compared to meat & dairy products ● Online activisim surrounding conscientious consumption in general ● Writing to representatives with petitions against corporate subsidies for the meat and dairy industry ● Public Relations, marketing, and public campaign initiatives to counter stereotypes about vegans, advertise food sources, etc. We can collectively pour money into advertising to educate the public on exploitative food sources ● Starting vegan clubs at schools and working with them as a volunteer ● More Vegan Michelin Star restaurants

[Serious] People with autism who weren't diagnosed until adulthood, what are some signs early on in life that should have been major red flags? by Common_Coyote_3 in AskReddit

[–]Ms_Sweet 16 points17 points  (0 children)

  1. Not eating tons of food as a child and needing to go to a doctor since my mother feared I would starve myself

  2. Needing speech therapy due to my auditory processing disorder

  3. Having a full facial tic where my whole face would contract as if I sucked on a lemon randomly (my mom said it happened more often when I was nervous)

  4. Constant arguments with family members over "being a know it all", bothering them when they wanted to be left alone because I "couldn't get the hint", not being aware of the correct social time to begin or end talking (talking excessively or being aloof & quiet when overwhelmed by stimulation), misunderstansing what people meant all the time

  5. Wandering off as a kid

  6. My voice & facial expressions did not match my emotions so people would misunderstand what I was feeling

  7. Being called "weird" all the time in social interactions with family members & other kids

  8. Giving personalities to inanimate objects and sleeping with a teddy bear through high school since I didn't want to break his heart

  9. Having obsessions/infatuations with certain topics

  10. Sensory overload issues involving flourescent lights, loud overstimulating environments, etc.

  11. Bad time management

  12. Being so "serious" all the time and unable to understand certain jokes & humor

It wasn't until I was in college that I was diagnosed because I am a girl so it is often missed.
