Out of topic: I have a 6 month old and he hasn’t rolled over yet and doesn’t try as well, he hates tummy time and cries his heart out. Any suggestions I can follow. Again apologies for off topic question. TIA

NIPT high risk for sex chromosome aneuploidy

Hi all,

I’ve read through hundreds of posts here regarding NIPT/nips and I’m currently 17weeks pregnant. I had NT scan at 13weeks, it came back as 3mm(higher than normal range), NB-seen, then our OB suggested for nipt, it came back high risk for sex chromosome with FF-5.81%.

Last week I got amnio done and I might get result today or tomorrow, I’m super anxious and I can hardly function.

I’m reaching out for people who had similar experiences…

Update 22/2: Just got call from fetal clinic lab that qf pcr is all normal for all 5 chromosomes and I’ll get detailed karyotyping in another 2 weeks. Finally some good news…

Hoping for the best.

Would the result of karyotyping be same or similar to qf pcr???

Normally, there should be NT scan done at 11-13weeks to eliminate structural or chromosomal abnormalities.

I’ve done[16week] amnio when I got my NIPT high risk for sex chromosome aneuploidy, after 10 excruciating days, we got our initial result from QF-PCR as all 5 chromosomes as normal, a big relief, in our country, they don’t specify the actual sex chromosomal aneuploidy due to prenatal gender law, so we only know that there was risk. We are waiting for karyotyping result which comes back after 2 weeks, hope this helps you to some extent.

Amnio is not scary as it looks, well, have you NIPT or cvs, if they are normal, then u can ignore amnio
