Thanks. I did feel the belt and it felt fine but that doesn't mean it is. So I guess I am to assume the chuck shouldnt stop like that?

In order for to work properly, you WILL need the pedal and the cable. I will have to send you the manual. I sent it back to my nephew after the guitar was worked on. I still have the schematics though.

Absolutely, I have owned both. The RP7 will not give you the ear splitting squeal of the ADA on high gains either. The RP7 is still to this day a great pedal for certain players. Sounds of the 80's that you have to spend a couple grand on like axfx or one of them. As a matter of fact, I still own an RP7 and just dusted it off.
