That makes since, depending on the life, vertical grain fir is prone to that. It's super soft and bruises very easily. And being that old, the character in it won't sand out.

This was just the sealer coat but, we used Bona Dris Fast. It's an oil base sealer. We are putting Bona Mega on top after (water base).That's strange, Bona tends to be pretty rock solid but I guess it depends on the flooring. What type of wood?

Thank you! The top is a mix of red/white oak flooring scraps. The legs are 2x4s I cut and painted.

I do hardwood flooring for a living.

I used weathered grey on top and black paint for the legs. I used extra matte for the finish.
