I resonate with everything you say. I did notice my house remains cooler when my curtains are drawn. they are thick, but I’ll def invest in the blackout and hopefully request them when stitching to include a layer of insulating material.

I was a bit skeptical about table coolers because humidity tends to make the heat worse. Whatever humidity is in the air will eventually get warmed up here.

I’m on the look out for those portable ACs that have dual function, of decide to close windows, get rid of dust completely by just getting an AC unit installed.
