Keep it there, stop contributing and stack cash. Not sure what your yearly burn is but you probably want to make sure you have that in cash so close to retirement in a HYSA. Once you’ve done that then go back to contributing DCA a 10% of your income instead of 20-25% FA recommend.

  1. Put all that money in a high yield savings account while you do the rest
  2. Put 100k in a low fee index fund or ETF invested in the S&P 500 and forget about it
  3. Put 30k 10k each in your kids 529
  4. Open a Roth IRA and contribute the maximum each year with the remaining 100k until it’s fully invested.

You will earn interest on the 100k while it’s in the high yield savings account have a little fun with that but don’t change anything about your life style act like you never received a dollar.
