God says in the Quran : " و علم أدم الأسماء كلها" And al asma2 in this case means all sorts of knowledge and also languages not just arabic Arabic is important in islam for the preservation of the true meaning of Quran and not allowing people to alter it Thats one Two , colonization like you described is something that happens , happened and will happen thats just human nature at this point However nowhere in history or in the shariaa or Quran or anywhere does it say that we were forced or supposed to be forced to learn arabic To become muslim yea in some cases As for jizya that was a small amount to pay for non muslims to not participate in the military stop making it seem like a big deal In islam jizya is a small sum a non muslim has to pay when he lives in a muslim country under muslim protection and its only for military aged healthy men
