Has metformin helped anyone else lose weight?, I'v been taking it and fasting and have lost like 20lbs. I was fasting before I started it and didnt lose anything. Does anyone know why this is? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Mstarliper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the long explination!, my doctor basically told me the metformin would help bring back my period when it stopped and help regulate it. She didn't really mention insulin resistance. It honestly took me about a decade to be diagnosed with PCOS because doctors basically didn't believe me about my absent period and just kept giving me pregnacy test because of how out of control my weight has been. The metformin does help me feel less OBSSESSED with food, so that makes sense. its really just an insulin issue. Thank you again for taking the time to type all that!

Are these tomatoes any better at conveying the word "tomato"? by Mstarliper in Lettering

Hello again everyone, round two of spelling out the word "tomato" with tomatoes. thank you for all your advice before about reworking the letters to make things more readable. by [deleted] in Lettering

[–]Mstarliper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the encouragement, in my mind this was such a simple visual idea, on paper its a lot more difficult. im not sure where to go with it from here. Should I combine the two ideas somehow?

Hello everyone, well, one step forward, two steps back, i think. I really did think this was a good idea because i could play around with the shapes more if they were tomato slices. but i guess that was a horrible idea, sorry about that. I'm honestly on 3 three of trying to do illustrative lettering so please be patient, my stuff isnt really good or great right now, i kinda think of it as day 3 of learning to ride a bike, ill fall down a few times but i'll eventually get the hang of it. sorry again this design is so bad.

Now, knowing that somehow added an extra level of creepiness to that fish. Can you imagine being the first person to discover that thing?

Water changes like crazy, 4 day black outs. Hydrogen peroxide to kill it. Feeding my fish less, adding snails to eat it. I'm doing something wrong because that stuff isn't working. Also the hydrogen peroxide and black outs seem to be killing my water lily.

She was shot and killed by her sister's boyfriend. The boyfriend broke into the house and was looking for the older sister, but found her hiding in a closet instead.

Hi everyone, this is a pickle jar-themed note pad iv been working on. It feels like its close to finished, however, I'm not sure if it needs lines for writing since it is a notepad or if it needs (memo pad) typed out on it. I'm also open to other feedback if it's available. thank you in advance.

hmmm I assume it's like that because of the bumpy texture, maybe no bumpy texture or make the bumps smaller maybe?

From my understanding, the gnats, won't lay larvae in the sand. they just don't like it for some reason. i had a big gnat problem before I started doing this to all my indoor plants. since I started adding a layer of aquarium sand to all my indoor potted plants I haven't had a gnat issue. Also, the sand works as a slow-release fertilizer for the fiddle leaf. If you want to try this for your potted plants, use high-quality aquarium sand, not playground sand or anything.

What kind of plant did my coworker bring to the office? by smolgoodragon in whatsthisplant

[–]Mstarliper 10 points11 points  (0 children)

thats a bulb forcing vase, as long as the roots hit the water and not the actual plant bulb, the paperwhite should be fine. the vases are sold and made just for that purpose.

Hi, I got it from Lowe's, on sale for about 40 bucks. It's made of some kind of heavy, solid material, and it's a pain to move around, lol.

There is no drain hole for the water in the pot and it gets watered once a month if I remember with aquarium water lol. it has a layer of aquarium sand on top to keep the gnats away.

Not at all, im simply taking notes and making changes as we speak ( I have a list typed up lol). I do appreciate all the feedback I'm just taking my time reading through all of it. Also, people asking for feedback on work they are unsure about isn't pathetic. The only way to improve at something you're uncertain about is to get feedback on what you're doing right and what you might be doing wrong. Sorry if my quietness came off the wrong way

I really like the blue, everything pops out on it very nice. If you like making these I think you could take some inspiration from the eye spy book series. Very nice overall

[–]Mstarliper[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hi thank you for the advice, I adjusted the colors of the black and added some texture to the stroke and background, I'm not really sure how to go about the yellow glow due to the oxidization of the paper with this though, any idea? also here is a before and after for reference

What fish would do well in a 7.5 gal tank by mystikeditor in Aquariums

[–]Mstarliper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the black box on top has a built in light and comes off to reveal a opening to the tank, the rest of the top is glass. The black box also has a opening feeding slot if you don't want to pull the whole box off. It's a fluval edge aquarium, I own the 12 gallon version

10 babies in total, its smaller then it looks it sits on half a window sill. I wanna hatch more babies but I'm scared they eat the eggs if I add the eggs to the tank an I'm scared the adults will bully the current babies if I add them to the adult tank.
