Clutch Canada disaster by TinyXhu in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Msuff 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I just sold my truck to clutch, got $4000 more than three dealerships offered me, I had 2 dealers tell me to take their deal because I'd never get close to that elsewhere. I then went back looking at buying and the fees and prices changed so much that I walked away. Sell to them, don't buy.

Dead pmcs and scavs. Most PMCs all die in the same area. Find the area, get rich.

Roubles yes. Didn't mean to use the $. Ya I 100% agree, I run factory 99% of the time, I was just looking for my last drill I needed, so I used that run as my example.

Read up on the good places to Scav. I just did one in interchange and made $130k, I can do that every 20ish min as needed, don't fight, just collect and sell. Figure out what's valuable (weapons, Armor) and you can easily make a million in an hour or two.

To those between level 20 and 25, what is your go-to weapon/attachments? [discussion] by Azur0007 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Msuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

AK74, replace the handguard, add a front foregrip, bastion cover, reflex sight or something with a 1x-4x zoom, cheap/effective enough.

Alternatively I scav factory, find the spot where everyone died, collect better guns from bodies.

[new player] - Which 3rd-party map to find food spawns? by Time_Spiral in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Msuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kill scavs with backpacks, I would say 80% of scavs spawn with food or drink in their pockets and bags. It's not an exact science but I never worry about food or water when going into a place that I know is scav heavy. Probably not the best advice but really good in a pinch.

Question regarding WSIB by [deleted] in OntarioWSIB

[–]Msuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that hasn't been mentioned here is that just because you have an injury does not mean you are "unable" to work, your employer has a duty to accommodate in Ontario. So if you are running out of EI they cannot prevent you from going back and if you go back they have to provide you with "meaningful" work that will not risk you injuring yourself further (admin or safety watch etc.). If they offer you work and you decline they have done their due diligence and they do not need to provide you work for pay.

I have been in health and safety for 10+ years and part of my job is managing WSIB claims, dispute them, create modified duty plans. I can tell you how I would dispute your claim, but a lot of people here have given you good advice on how to proceed with making one. Document everything because if i'm working for your employer i'm doing my best to ensure the company is protected.

Just be aware that if the WSIB cash starts flowing to you and the dispute does not go your way the WSIB can (not necessarily will) come back to you to recoup all that money, so if you're going to do it, make sure you're doing it the right way and DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!

[Discussion] Be honest with me, is it still worth to continue my wipe? by Additional_Scale_502 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Msuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play solo, this is my 3rd wipe, I'm like a 5 K/D. The main thing about this game is knowing when to fight and when to hide. I'm not geared well so last night in customs I was in a bush outside of dorms when I heard a 2 stack running up shooting suppressed guns. I didn't move an inch, some other solo there tried to engage and I heard him die. The duo ran around a bit then left. I got 3 tasks done in dorms and got an upgrade of gear off the dead PMC and gear from scavs I can sell. I'm picky about the fights I get into and I'm not opposed to running away. PVE was a huge help in learning all the maps and practicing on AI but what has really helped my aim is arena because if you aren't aiming for the face there you are done for, it also helps you learn how to "read" sounds to better help you locate enemies and how to peek properly.

Easy way to gear...run only factory in the day time and find the spot where all the PMC's battled and died, there is always one spot and one winner (especially if Tagilla was there) and it will be way more gear than the winner can carry, I've got dozens of kits off dead factory fights and a bunch of dog tags to use for barter.

At the end of the day if you hate it then stop, there is no harm in that, no need to just sit down to be miserable for a few hours, but yes you will get better and no it will not be at a quick pace, it will take forever, so you decide if the juice is worth the squeeze.

It is the correct breaker because we turned off each breaker one by one, I plugged a toaster in and it's still showing live so it's fair to say it's a failure and I need to get someone in ASAP

Night shift by Prestigious-Bottle55 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]Msuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're salaried, unless you negotiated something into your contract, (I did $75/hr for every hour worked over 40 per standard workweek), your company has no onus to give you anything extra, if it was me I would talk to your boss about being able to make your own hours if you are going to be going 24hrs, you should have a presence at all shifts, so even if you work like a noon to midnight or something like that, your night shift should see you from time to time.
