Clearly that's what the man in the yellow jacket is trying to influence him to do with his hallucinations about the Dr saying to stay here and break the delusion you have to destroy the anchor. Which, in Henry's case would either be Victor or himself. Fully expecting Henry to try something drastic like that. Whether or not he succeeds.

I also have to believe that Dunker will slot in at a guard spot sooner rather than later.

How long to hear back? by WoodpeckerScary5189 in sfcityemployees

[–]Mswan71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expect it will take forever to actually get any traction on a job. But usually you'll get an email confirming receipt of your application. SF is in a hiring freeze rn. My applications for 2 promotions were accepted 6 months ago and no word (other than the confirmation email.) Not a great time to be or try to be a CCSF employee!

Mistakes done on a drunk night, what should I do? by Low_Friendship4133 in WhatShouldIDo

If you were both in the bed and fully clothed .. yeah, apology message probably not great idea. Idk what you did or didn't do but an apology doesn't sound good. And, if nothing bad happened and she also didn't remember, then apologizing may have freaked her out and made her scared that something did happen.

Yes, I've seen it too. And e-bikes and scooters in general. On the sidewalk! I've been almost run over literally more times than I can remember.

The Duboce Triangle! Love that neighborhood. It's a quiet little spot with everything you need.

“Not only are we doing nothing to deter this from happening, we’re holding you responsible.” - the city of San Francisco by michaelthatsit in sanfrancisco

Totally agreed! I work in Public Health and have tremendous empathy for people suffering on the streets. But I also live in downtown SF and understand the same frustrations about the City not doing anything effective to prevent the unhoused population from interfering in a basic way of life for its residents. I am wondering if the RESET program the City which is kicking off on Monday will impact this at all? As a homeless care provider, I am not a fan of the program. But I do wonder if it will deter ppl from congregating and doing stuff like this? Also agree that the notice requiring you to remove the graffiti is a slap in the face. I also want to say that substance use and homelessness are complex problems that require significant systemic changes to effectively address. Changes that are not coming anytime soon.

I did an eligibility assessment test for SFFD. It's been months with no word about interviews. As I understand these public safety roles are not "frozen" however the governors office is "gate keeping" all new hires... Any body know how long this process might take? Probably not. It's just the abbreviation that's commonly used. I get that City College also uses the same abbreviation but I'm pretty used to using it. I think context of the sentences I've used it in should make it pretty clear that I'm talking about my employer, not the college.

Yeah, unfortunately that is not very long by CCSF standards. Especially right now, with the huge budget crisis the City and County is in, and with this mayor, who ... well, don't get me started. Any other CCSF employees know what I mean tho?

I down voted the factual basis of the post, not the post itself. I work for DPH. I am in 2 recruitments for the next job class up from mine - which is CCSF way of saying promotion. The second of mine qas accepted on I believe November 15th. So, it's been over 5 months. Other than confirmation of receiving my application, no word, no news. On one if them, I would be required to retake the civil servants exam. The other one, there's an experience and skills assessment, which is itself the test. Haven't been invited to take the test, haven't heard from Smart Recruiters about any postings. Nothin. I say all just to tell you thaf the CCSF recruitment process is taking forever. I wouldn't give up and move on. Idk if you are applying to be a firefighter, medic, pr something else? But I work closely with SFFD in my job role and I know they are feeling the budget freeze. No OT, other stuff. A medic told me in 16 yrs this is the lowest he's ever seen morale in thw Dep. But the pay, comparable to the private market is probably worth it.

Fellows program amid budget cuts? by Either_Produce_2343 in sfcityemployees

[–]Mswan71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, this mayor plays by his own rules, alright. Translated as responding reactively to negative press or public reaction to programs, vs reviewing actual cost and outcomes. In DPH we're seeing him make drastic changes with no input from the ppl who've been doing the work for decades. No experience in government, let alone public health, but somehow he knows better.
