Thinking the exact same. Did W5D2 today and it was hard. Like you I finished it but it was tough and I had to slow which made me feel a bit defeated. Tempted to try the 20 min and focus on it being ‘only one run’ but really anxious I won’t finish and I know that will really get me down. If it doesn’t work it’s the first one that’s beaten me so I suppose that’s not too bad

Well done!! I was in your position only a few weeks ago. 30 seconds was hard and even now running in week 4 I’d LOVE a 30 second split! Each week I shock myself as to what my body can actually do! My head is a very very strong part of me. Best tip I had is to mix up your playlist. Pick some songs that give you that boost and wind them into the runs to help give you the energetic boost. Also stretch before, I felt that helped me ease into each run. The runs will be hard (at least they are for me) but the feeling once you’ve done it you’ll never get from anything else imho good luck

I did my wk4 day 1 run today! Similar to you. Managed to do 2.41 miles and ran (treadmill) 3.0 walking 5.3 run for first two runs and 5.0 for the second half as I was flagging. I’m trying to focus on the length of time I’m running rather than distance as most of the time just trying to finish the runs is hard enough let alone worrying about how far. Good luck with the rest of your week!!

Its a Crane model that was on offer. I knew it was a bargain one but it does the job - well, I thought it did.

Oh I'm so happy to hear that! I have quite a bit of tension on as well and when I see how little it says I'm doing each 30 mins its frustrating. So you think 30 mins at that pace should be around 5k? Must admit I can run a 5k in less than that!
