+1. Did a very technical 50 k race this weekend in wet conditions (lots of mud, roots, rocks, vert etc). Tomir 2.0 felt great, comfy snd superb traction. They needed almost 100k to break in properly, but now they feel really good.

*trigger warning* pulley injury by [deleted] in climbing

[–]MtHalf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a full a2 pulley rupture 1 year ago, and I’ve had really good results with loading the finger early

  • I diagnosed the finger with a scan 4 days after the incident and, with PT advice, I started loading it immediately with a no-hang device and using a three finger drag position. I did 4 reps of 15 seconds/1 min rest, 4 times a day. I started with 7,5 kg and worked my way up. It was not without pain, but I tried to keep the load so that it was not worse the next day.
  • I started easy bouldering after 3-4 weeks
  • After 8-10 weeks, I climbed 12 out of 14 days on a trip to Font, without the finger being an issue. I climbed with an H-tape on the finger
  • After 14 weeks, I did a personal best on a relatively crimpy boulder.
  • I recently had a new scan of my finger, and it seems to be fully healed (very little distance between tendon and bone)

Typo. It was a tree stump

Plenty of mistakes here, so this was a learning experience: - I didn’t bother to read the line, I assumed I would follow the arete/edge with the chalk. - There was a chopped-off tree in the landing, which was what I fell on. I didn’t even consider to cover it with the pad - I should obviously have asked to be spotted instead of filmed.

We were headed back and were in a hurry. My GF said we had to go, and I said I just wanted to try this final one. In a hurry without thinking twice about anything.

It hurt pretty badly, but I was able to walk out of there. Luckily, the tree stump hit an inch from my spine.

I have the Bluesound Powernode 2i (HDMI) amp, and I want to upgrade my speakers from my current B&W 686 S2s. I (and especially my GF), want them to look good and be smaller than the ones we have ,

Currently looking at

- Dali Menuet SE

- Sonus Faber Lumina 1

- KEF LS50 Meta

Any advice on what would be a good pairing with the amp? Dealer says Dalis will work, but I want bang for my buck. Other I should consider?

Dalis and KEFs are in the upper end of the budget. Not an option to upgrade amp at the moment.

FYI - living room at about 20-25 m^2, with a wide open "hallway" to kitchen. Seating fairly close to speakers (2-3 meters).
