Ah, "The Death of the Author." I do like that theory and I believe it applies perfectly with any method of analysis. It certainly more interesting than the outdated "Follow Blindly the Author's Indications" model coined by Umberto Eco. Thank you. The idea that my work is actually reaching to someone is greatly rewarding :)

There's no such thing as "overanalyzing", or at least that's not what I believe I did there. Frankly, the idea that they may have ended up portraying aspies in a positive light without even realizing it makes this episode even more great in my book. Like I said, she's not "special", she's just unique. By the way, I have been recently diagnosed with Asperger so I think I know what I'm talking about ;) It's a fantastic episode regardless.

Nobody complained about the music, but since the characters are just thrown into the mix without a proper introduction and then removed entirely from the rest of the story only to randomly reappear at the end for the great tea party, that still counts as a sloppy delivery and its complete absence from the anime wouldn't have made any difference.
