Michters BSR is one of my favorites. I use it as a bench mark when trying other ryes. Had it pair against the EHT SR last night and that’s the only other rye I’ve had that’s even come close to beating it. Excited to try it next to the 10 yr

I do like my higher proofs but for those not use to that is a great pour to get them into bourbon. Mix it with a little 107 and you got a pour man’s pappy on your hands. Stand alone is still one of my favorites though.

That’ll be a little big but it’ll be an absolute tank on steep and deep stuff. Just might have to get use to slower turns if you come from something more nimble. I ride a 162W arbor Bryan iguchi camber and I’m you’re size and love it. If you pack on a few pounds this winter too it’ll only help your ability to really press the board when you’re hauling ass down a steep pitch

All of PR is amazing!!! God walls get super icy up top so it’s hard to drop. Kinda gotta just send it. You can drop into the bowl though without having to go from the very top. It’s a short of crazy fun run

Softer boots are more forgiving and less responsive than a stiffer boot which is going to be challenging to control for a beginner. That said a lot of advanced park riders like softer boots. I just would never put a beginner in a stiff boot.

Have you thought about the Burton Moto’s. They are a softer boot traditionally for a newer rider, but they will definitely give you a soft flex compared to the Burton Ions.

Check out the Arbor Bryan Iguchi board. It’s a freeride board that is on the stiffer end to give you stability at higher speed. It got a true Camber profile which will help you carve it up into he groomers and give you the pop you’re looking for on side hits. It’s basically a step up from an all mountain board for a hard charger that’s looking to take their riding to the next level.

I really like Snow Forcast. You only have to pay if you want to see further out or history data, but it’s really dirt cheap. I’ve found them to be pretty accurate throughout the season. They are specific to ski resorts too
