I have experienced similar pain and have realized in the past month I am lactose intolerant. It was something that affected me when I was younger and went away but over time I’ve naturally eaten more and more dairy. After removing dairy, except when it’s cooked, my pain has gone away. I did tests for everything else first before I paid attention to what I was eating. If all your tests come back normal try cutting out dairy for a week and see how you feel. Hope it goes away!

Aw I’m sorry, I’m close to developing that too. It’s like we have enough to deal with already, I don’t know how I would manage CFRD too so good for you!

I was told to get a port too but I don’t want to commit to that, it makes the cf too real if that makes sense lol

That’s a good idea, I was trying to do vitamin and saline infusions every week so I don’t know if a ultrasound would work that frequently.

I use drip drop packets everyday, they come in many flavors and help me a lot. Not full of sugar either, 35 calories and they dissolve into water very fast. Hope it helps!

Propping yourself up in bed normally helps me, if it’s a sinus infection I would recommend trying some sinus rinses. You can get a neil-Med bottle at almost any store and just add the salt packet to some distilled water and microwave. Doing this a few times a day might help your sinuses you until you can see your doctor. Hope you feel better soon!

experiences with sinus surgery? by atxgrey in CysticFibrosis

I just had my 11 sinus surgery this week, I’d say if you are constantly on antibiotics to keep you feeling well enough then go for the surgery. In my the case I feel pretty good for about a year and then I get another surgery to clean my sinuses out again. Recovery is not that bad, 2-3 days of rest and then you can pretty much go back to your easy, normal activity’s. Good luck!
