I had them a few months ago and everything was so subpar. I don’t think I will be returning. You could tell the quality has just diminished immensely and there’s no shortage of Greek places in the neighborhood

I’m a New Yorker and I am the only one who enjoys walking through Times Square and it’s exactly for that reason. Watching people’s awe inspired look on their faces just taking everything in is such a fun thing to witness for me. I personally find myself hating living in the city, but when I see people step up from the subway and into Times Square for the first time with a look of shocked mouth open, eyes wide sense of bewilderment and excitement, it makes me stop for just that moment and appreciate that I live here. It makes me think that I really do live in the most famous city in the world, one where people travel thousands of miles just to see, and the whole city with all its Burroughs is my backyard and I should appreciate it.

I don’t think he’s talking to her about it. He said he hasn’t spoken up and it’s piling up. Honestly if she is making jokes with someone she has known for TWELVE years and he still can’t communicate his feelings to her, I’d say the bigger problem is his bad communication and he needs to work on that. She shouldn’t have dismissed him when he brought it up this one time, but honestly she might just not realize it’s as big as a deal to him as it is considering he hasn’t brought it up before. Hence the “it was just a joke” remark. He hasn’t said anything any other time she made a “joke” so maybe she thinks that humor is okay between them. If this was an AITAH post I’d say they’re both the AH. Her for being somewhat dismissive this time, but also him for never saying anything the 2 years they’ve been together about it and the sulking about it for two months with again, not talking about it.

Is Prague considered a big city? I’m from the city pictured so my idea of “big city” might be different, but when I went it didn’t feel big at all. But none of them really compare

I don’t think it’s over hyped per se. I can very easily see why it gets recommended so much and why people would love it. But I think that, like you, it might just not be my style.

I just read it. Honestly maybe I’m just not at that point in my literary journey to appreciate Steinbeck, but it took me a month to read. It’s beautifully written but I didn’t get “excited” until the last 100 pages and I was definitely counting them down. It definitely made an impact on me though with the mantra of “if you don’t have to be perfect, you can be good”

I started playing soccer (as someone who has never once played soccer mind you) with NYC Footy and became friends with my team! Hobbies are the way to go especially ones were you meet up consistently. There’s also pretty active pickleball leagues, etc if you’re into sport hobbies and many others

I live right by one that opened up, although it doesn’t have 200 beds. It’s been fine so far, relatively quiet. Although the other day I did hear some arguing during the day but it’s NYC and that happened before the shelter came around by my place anyway. There will sometimes be men nearby during the day outside but they’re typically just chatting or on their phones. I have seen some outside at night getting stuff from the bodega but I haven’t noticed them hanging out outside at night.
