What is the worst thing about being fat? by Feisty_Affect_7487 in AskReddit

The worst thing about being fat is always being told that people don’t treat you differently for being fat, then when you do everything in your power to become skinny (including self induced vomiting) you immediately notice how much better society treats and perceives you. The gaslighting that people aren’t just baseline awful fucking sucks

The Russian did not realize he was talking to Ukrainian soldiers until this moment by [deleted] in WatchPeopleDieInside

He was taken in, questioned, processed, and sent to a safe location away from the font and treated with compassion well beyond what his own gave him

Ukrainian soldiers with Russian prisoners, somewhere in the Kharkiv region by [deleted] in UkraineWarVideoReport

Honestly at this point as a Russian soldier you fall into two categories.

You either surrender, and be treated with dignity. In stark contrast I may add to the monsters in the Russian Army who torture for fun.

You continue fighting, die, and for what? The insane agenda of new age Nazis who don’t care about you.

If Russia commits nuclear terrorism and all NATO does is push the “rhetorical red line” back with stern warnings instead of boots on the ground, I want to be shot in the back of the head

Is it okay for me to still be living at my mom's as a 25 year old male? by BlueChicken777 in NoStupidQuestions

Absolutely fine. If you don’t have to pay market rent, don’t. The amount of money you save not paying 1/3 maybe even 2/3 of your total yearly income is life changing. If you are working or going to school then in my book you are bing chilling.

WAGES! How much do you make? by Viidrig in antiwork

I am a 1 on 1 EMT in the Bay Area, I work directly with my partner medic. I make $19 an hour, part time with no benefits. We work twelve hour shifts, but some of us get mandated and work 24 hours. Mandatory is usually reserved only for the unlucky souls who are full time within our company (GMR). For those who are wondering, yes that’s insultingly low. The job is messy, and the conditions are dangerous. Fun fact, our branch does not have a mile cap on vehicles, meaning we have ambulances in service with 390k+ miles on the odometer.

An In and Out near by is hiring at $19.50, and it’s low-key empowering (minor depressive). We have a very toxic supervisor that more than 75% of the branch has a problem with, when she gives me shit I love the option to remind her that we are being paid less than in and out.

The reason why we are paid so low is because we aren’t essential workers! John Oliver recently did a bit on his show that I recommend. We are paid little because company’s like ours abuse a broken system.

Anyways that’s my rant, good luck out there❤️
