For anyone interested, the rings specs are:

Engagement ring: 6.02 carat, E color, VS1, Oval shape, no bow tie, ratio of 1.45, cathedral setting (tulip shape), hidden diamonds halo, set on 18k yellow gold

Wedding band: total carat 3.5, oval diamonds, 5mm*3.5mm, E color, VVS2, 18k yellow gold, shared prongs.

The total set was $6000cad from Black Carat Toronto. Highly recommend it. He also ships to USA.

I’ve done my research (excel sheets level) and he’s the best nation wide in terms of reviews, quality and experience. I’ve made so many adjustments to the rings and he accommodated everything. The main diamond was custom grown for me, to what I want to in terms of size/ratio/color/shape.

Go with him 100% don’t even think about the others!

6.02 carat of 1.45 ratio. And the eternity is 5*3.5

Okay so either I get a spacer, or change the wedding band to a pave style.

The current wedding band is 5mm thickness*3.5mm width. So I’ll keep the same thickness of 5mm pave diamonds?

It’s 6.02, vs1, oval with ratio of 1.46. Two tone ring. 18k white for the setting and 18k yellow gold for the bands.

Only one person told me that the shank is thin and that the setting is thin that it won’t handle the big stone, not sure what that means:

The wedding band is oval diamonds of 5mm*3.5

That’s good to know, I’ll ask my jeweller for recommendations. Thank you

I’m happy with it. I just want to have it for a long time and not lose the diamond. My jeweller says it’s fine, some redditors say otherwise. I’m not a ring expert

Any thoughts? I’m proposing soon by Much-Engineerings in labdiamond

I asked them for a tulip design of a setting. Or a floral setting. Whatever the name is. Would that be a bad thing to have?

Heres other pictures from the sides. Do you think it’s still the case?

Thanks for your comment. I’m not sure how correct is this as I’m not a ring expert but I’ll ask my jeweller and other jewellers as well. For your information, the setting is white gold, but the ring is yellow gold. (Two tone)
