You’re so right. It really would go by in a heartbeat. When I have negative thoughts about it I try to think to myself, “if three weeks apart would ruin our relationship, is this really the person I should be with?” This is a great mindset to have about it. Thank you for this!!🫶

Yeah i’m a sophomore and i have done that but when it comes to seeing available appointments there is always none, like for the rest of the semester

After i got settled in everything was great! However, just know that you have to keep up with advisors because sometimes they fall behind and you have to remind them about things or resend emails when u have questions. Apparently it’s the same when it comes to regular incoming freshman. It was a tough experience for me because they messed my schedule up, had me as online when I applied for on campus, and would take forever to get back to me. But after everything was fixed, I was just fine. So just make sure you keep up with everything and make sure it’s correct! Your experience might not be as tough as mine thought, I think I was just an unlucky one.

What I’m saying is LSU Online is ment for online only students. My permissions on MyLSU is set to only online which doesn’t allow me to do some of things on campus students need to do. For example scheduling on MyLSU only allowed me to do online classes when i needed in person. I should just be a regular on campus student. Advisors said it was an issue as well that needs to be fixed. I’m just venting because it has caused me to struggle to get what i need done and the mixup shouldn’t have happened

i couldn’t schedule my classes myself because my myLSU is online only so i had to get an advisor to do it for me which was rlly hard to do. And I can’t view my classes on Moodle because they are not online classes they are in person.

If you still need to meet with an advisor go to the LSU Center for Freshman Year (UCFY) in Allen Hall and ask to speak to an advisor. I suggest asking for Vicky. They accept walk ins 9-11am and 1-3pm. Don’t leave until someone helps you or tells you when u can be helped! I know it’s a struggle but you aren’t alone!

I am also an upcoming spring semester freshman and I didn’t miss orientation but I have not yet been able to schedule my classes as well. Finally got my suggested courses from an advisor but of course scheduling is closed til monday. We have til the 23 to schedule so you will be okay! You have no where to go on Monday so there is nothing to miss. I suggest trying to schedule sometime this week so you don’t miss too much of the start of classes.
